Chapter 4, Continued, Again

I let out a deep breath as Nada rang the bell to start the spar and ran at Caleb. I tucked my knife into my waistband and started throwing punches, landing one square in the jaw while his blade made impact on my collarbone. After a bit we both ended up on the mat with him pinning my arms. "Putting your knife away is not really what you want to do during a knife fight Em. You could get hurt." Caleb whispered as we were laying there on the mat. I kicked my legs up and around his waist. Pulling back down, I flipped him onto the mat. "So could you." I said, pulling another knife out of my sleeve and cutting him right under his ear. "Cheater." He accused as he brought his leg up, kneeing me in the stomach. "You can't cheat if there's no rules." I told him.

The bell rang, marking the end of the sparring session. As I walked over to the sink to clean the blood off my knife, a hand grabbed my arm and spun me around. "You win, but you still cheated." Then I was facing Caleb. He leaned in like he was gonna tell me a secret but instead he planted his lips on mine. I reacted on pure instinct and drove my knife into his thigh. Pushing him away, I calmly walked upstairs to Nada and told her that she was gonna need the first aid kit.
"What did he do?" She asked as we went down the stairs.
"He kissed me."
"Uh huh, and what did you do?"
I shrugged "Stabbed him in the leg."
"Good reaction, he's still on your detail though. Do you think he learned his lesson?"
"No, but he will." Nada walked over and sat him down on a chair, checking his leg. After he had a gauze patch on his leg she slapped him across the face. I had to try and stiffle a laugh while she yelled at him and almost wanted to smile while we were walking because Caleb finally shut the Hell up. He limped the whole way back to the house and didn't even look at me the whole time. Maybe he did learn his lesson. How sad, I wanted to stab him some more, he just seems really stab-able, doesn't he?
