When the movie was over we did our chores and got ready for bed. I waited until everybody was done in the bathroom before I grabbed my pajamas and toiletries and locked the door behind me. First I brushed my teeth and hair, then washed my face and when I was done with all of that I stripped down and put on my pajama pants AKA joggers. I unstrapped the harness under my left armpit and at the base of my neck, then grabbed my arm out of the socket it fits in. I couldn't wear it while sleeping so I had to take it off before I put my shirt on. I put the arm in my sleeve so it looked like it was still there and walked back to the bedroom.
The lights were still on and I asked if it was okay if I turned them off. Olivia nodded and I put my dirty clothes in the hamper before turning off the light and walking over to my bed. With my arm under my bed and my knife under my pillow (probably not a good idea considering what happened to Lizzy.) I laid with my eyes open because every time I closed them all I could see was fire and destruction, and I tried to come up with a pretend world where I don't exist, I came up with a place, people, and a plot. It's a zombie apocalypse and a group of high schoolers find themselves trapped together in a store, they bond over certain death and become friends. Everybody gets a happy ending and they survive, and make a new world where they're in charge. It's cliche and boring, just like I wanted it. No one dies and everyone is happy.
