Caleb came back and started yelling when he saw me gone. Another man asked how I got out and Caleb said he didn't know. He said that he had taken every precaution to make sure I couldn't escape. Stifling a laugh at his incompetence, I hid behind a rafter so I couldn't be seen and carefully watched the scene unfold as Caleb stomped over to Noah and pulled out his gun. "You broke the rules Mads, that means the deal's out.” In my mind I could hear the familiar click of the hammer coming down and imagine what it looks like inside the firearm. The firing pin would hit the primer, causing an explosion that pushes the bullet out and lands in Aiden’s—no, Noah’s skull. I couldn’t let Aiden die again. I had to save him. Aiden. No, it was Noah. I had already failed Aiden. “I'm gonna count to five and you better have your butt right in front of me or I will blow his brains out. I know darn well you didn't leave without them." He screamed. "One!" I looked around for a way to get down, "Two!" There was none. "Three!"
"Stop!" I screamed. "I'm coming down. I'm doing what you told me to do, see? Just put the gun away." Back at the chains, I put the padlock back around one of them and climbed down. But before I did, I hid the knife that was previously in my boot in my sleeve.

I put my hands up and walked towards Caleb. When I was an arm's distance from him he brought the gun off of Noah's head and hit me with it. "You little she-demon." He said, leveling the gun at my heart. "I would kill you, but I want you to hurt a little bit first." He put his gun away and picked up the bleach. "Stop it. Caleb stop! You already said she doesn't have anything you want, just let her go. Please. Let her go."
He put his hand on his chin like he was seriously contemplating it. "And what do I get in return?" He asked.
"I don't have anything that you want either. You heard me at the trial, I don't know where the files are. Let her go."
"Okay," he started, "but I'll give her a little going away present first." He untwisted the cap on the bleach. I ran towards him but got caught by my waist from behind and held back. “This is your fault Madelyn.” Caleb chastised as he held Olivia's face up and tipped the bleach into her eye as I clawed at the hands grabbing me and listened to her screams as tears streamed down my face. I… failed. Again. I let them hurt my sister again. Caleb was right, this was my fault.

Always Madelyn’s fault.
I was supposed to save everyone. That’s why I’m here! I’m supposed to save everyone.

Then Caleb cut the zip ties holding her to her chair and left her alone. I used that chance to take my knife and stab the throat of the person holding me and charged at Caleb. I knocked him down and stabbed him over and over again in the throat and chest. He stared at me as the life drained out of him and when I finally stopped stabbing him I went for the rest of them, blind with rage.

I killed all of them, every single bloody Nazi in that building that I could find felt the pain of my knife. Then I ran out to where Noah was still tied to the chair and Olivia was sitting with her knees pulled up to her chest rocking back and forth. I untied Noah and we helped Olivia out of the warehouse after I grabbed my bag and jacket that were on a table in the office. Outside, I found a parked car and hot-wired it. "Get her in." I told Noah as I called Oliver. When they were both in the car I handed the phone to Noah who was cradling his terrified sister in his arms and told him to tell Oliver everything that had happened while I sped away towards the hospital.
