REN'S POV:

I don’t know what went wrong with me. I’ve never known how to treat Jacklyn properly. I was furious when she didn’t pick up my call. I know it was my fault to speak to her like that when she finally called back.

I’ve realized now that I shouldn’t take my anger out on her. I just hope she can forgive me this time. I don’t even know what to say to Jeremiah or how to face Jacklyn after this.

“Can we have a talk, Ren? Only if you still think of me as a friend.”

“You guys were, and always will be, my only friends.”

Jeremiah took a deep breath, plated the lunch he’d brought, and went to Jacklyn’s room. Watching him, I couldn’t help but feel that I’d never be able to take care of her the way Kavin and Jeremiah do.

Maybe I don’t deserve her.

Jeremiah came out of her room shortly after.

“Shall we leave?” he asked, pulling out his keys.

“Where?”

“Out.”

I glanced at Jacklyn’s room, hesitant to leave her alone after what I’d done to her.

“You go and talk to her. I’ll wait,” he said.

“What should I even say to her? She probably doesn’t want to talk to me,” I muttered.

“No, that’s not true.”

I looked at him, surprised.

“She asked about you.”

His words gave me the push I needed. I headed to her room, not knowing what to say but just wanting to see her.

When I entered, she was sitting on the window seat, having lunch. I walked over, leaned down to her level, and kissed her forehead.

“Sorry, princess. I can’t promise this will never happen again, but I’ll try not to act like that anymore.”

She listened quietly, her gaze fixed on me.

“I’ll come back as a better person. Will you wait for me?”

She looked up at me, her expression unreadable.

“I’m leaving for London,” I added.

Her eyes were full of unspoken words, but her expressions were harder than ever to decipher.

I kissed her cheek softly and asked again, “Will you wait for me, princess?”

“I will, Daddy,” she said.

Those words felt like a lifeline to me, like getting an extra chance in a game after enduring an ad with endless patience.

Then, she suddenly kissed me on the lips, leaving me stunned. She blushed deeply, looking down.

“What was that, princess?” I teased.

“A send-off kiss,” she mumbled, blushing even harder.

I couldn’t help but chuckle.

“Just text me your questions, and I’ll answer them, okay?”

“Okay.”

“I don’t want you overthinking or worrying too much. When I return, I want a cheerful Jacklyn grinding on my dick in my room.”

She hit my shoulder, glaring at me with an adorable pout. I pulled her in for another kiss. This one held not just the weight of distance but also a lot of hope for our future.

“Take care, princess. I’m leaving. At least go to college tomorrow.”

“Ren…” she whined.

“Okay, okay. Jeremiah’s waiting downstairs. I have to go.”

“Bye,” she said, waving.

I raised an eyebrow and smirked. “Bye, what?”

She smiled shyly and replied, “Bye, Daddy.”

Satisfied, I smiled back and headed downstairs.
