Chapter 23: Deverlon Strikes Back (Samuel)

This is it.

"Everybody, listen up! You saw what happened to Kayden Tay?" Deverlon shouted from his desk. (Like I said before, bought legally).

"Yeah, and I think that we should retaliate," was the reply from Yifan, who was busy chewing up their last Glock-22 (Deverlon had earlier tried to explain the difference between a pistol and a banana, but he did not pay much attention).

After sending out Jeffery to restock on firearms, Deverlon laid out a sheet of paper and started making battle plans. "So, we target Angeline this time, since she carried out the shot. After we get rid of her, we move on to Aurelia, then the other team. Any objections?"

"Well, yes, actually..." A small voice came from the back of the dingy room.

Whirling around, Deverlon motioned for Elliot to start speaking. Momentarily letting his memories flow, Deverlon recalled vividly how reckless and crazy Elliot was a decade ago. Now, this quiet and calculated man in front of him was nothing like him in his childhood.

"I believe that we shouldn't kill Angeline, or any one else as a matter of fact. Remember the nigger (no N-word pass btw; kill him) passage from 10 years ago? Remember the quote?"

Deverlon indeed remembered it. "He who lives by the sword, will perish by the sword." (how the heck do yall remember that like real time)

"Right. Although I completely agree with you that we should get revenge, I don't think that we should take someone's life. Besides, Angeline didn't kill Kayden, did she?"

Good point.

"Well then I think that we should just blow their office up!" Yifan chipped in, with that all-too-familiar look in his eyes.

"Yeah! Let's do it!"

And thus concluded the most intense day in Deverlon's division.
