"Alright, the count was 12,"

Groans resounded from the classroom as 6-4 failed yet again to hit their target of 0. "All because of that Kayden Tay, never tucked in his shirt," came a voice from somewhere behind the classroom. However, my mind was blank. I had forgotten to complete C10, and Mr Ngiam was collecting it later. The whole lesson went past in a blur, like something about circles, but I had no idea. I wasn't listening.

Finally, the time came.

"Alright, 6-4, before you leave, bring your C10 here to submit, and then take C11 for homework,"

My heart started pounding quicker and quicker. Fear overwhelmed me, to the extent that I felt nauseous. Taking short steps forward, I finally looked up and saw Mr Ngiam look expectantly at me. "Where's your C10?"

"I-I didn't bring it."

Mr Ngiam looked slightly disappointed for a moment, but it was gone as quickly as it came.

"You need to know that it is important to submit work on time, or you'll do badly at Ngiam's World Pte. Ltd,"

"What?"
