Shawn pulls up to the driveway of your house and eases on the brakes, shutting off the car and turning to face you.

"Thanks for taking me home," you say as you reach for your bag.

"Y/N," he grabs your arm, stopping you. "What's the big hurry?"

You smile and catch his narrowed gaze. "Do you want to maybe come inside?" you ask, unsure.

A smile spreads from cheek to check across his face and he nods slowly. "Yeah, I do," he says, his words shaped by his grin.

"Okay," you respond, getting out of the car and racing him to the front door.

No one was home, so you go straight to the couch and he jumps on it right after you, the two of you laughing as he pulls you close to his chest, pressing his lips to yours as he runs his fingers through your hair. His body felt so good pressed to yours, he sent a tingle of nerves down your spine.

"Y/N," he whispers softly, "I know we haven't been together for very long, but I really do love you a lot. You're amazing. I feel so insecure around you, don't tell anyone," he giggles.

You frown. "Wait, what?"

"You know like. . . like I don't deserve you," he shrugs.

"Shawn, what? Are you kidding?" You sit up, tucking your hair behind your ear.

He looks at you for a minute and laughs lightly. "No, Y/N, don't make it a big deal, it's a compliment."

"Yeah maybe to you, but you shouldn't feel that way. It should feel right, you know?"

"What do you mean?"

"Like, you should feel as if we were meant for each other, not like I'm doing you a favor by going out with you because you're unworthy of me or something."

His face drops.

"Oh. I guess I've never felt that way around anyone. I'm just really unsure of myself. I never know if I'm doing things right, or if things are going somewhere, I'm completely clueless, Y/N."

You bite your lip and sigh quietly.

"Why haven't you ever told me any of this before?" you ask, grabbing his hand.

"Because it's so easy for you, you never have to worry about anything, you just go with the flow and things always work out for you."

You cock your head and give him a stern look. "Christ, Shawn, you know that's not true."

"Yes it is! You're so confident and I can't even go one night without worrying that I'll wake up and you'll be gone."

You slip your arms around his waist and close your fingers around his torso. You lean into his neck, closing your eyes tightly.

"I would never leave you," you whisper. "And you deserve that."

"The guy. . The guy is supposed to comfort the girl."

"Shhhh," you press your fingers to his lips. "We're all insecure sometimes. Even big boys."

"I love you so much," he smiles.

"You know you can talk to me about anything, right?" You nip his nose. He looks down and slowly nods.

"Yeah."

"Good. Now take my clothes off and take me high, okay?"

He laughs and pins you against the couch, roughly fitting his mouth to yours as he slips his fingers under the hem of your t-shirt.

"Okay."
