Sarah's POV:

Later, Monica gives the instructions for a party game she made up.

Monica: "Ok people, I want you to take a piece of paper, here you go, and write down your most embarrassing memory. Oh, and I do ask that when you're not using the markers, you put the caps back on them because they will dry out."

After a few minutes of playing, Monica voices her discontent regarding how people treat the markers.

Monica: "Listen you guys, I don't mean to be a pain about this but, um, I've noticed that some of you are just placing them on. You wanna push the caps until you hear them click."

Monica starts to demonstrate before noticing Gunther heading toward the door.

Monica: "Gunther, where're you going?"

Gunther: "I um, was sorta thinking about maybe..."

Monica: "No. No you can't go. No this is fun. Come on we're just getting started. Here, here's your marker."

Gunther walks off as Phoebe approaches him for a private discussion when Ross walks in from the boys' party and talks to Mrs. Green. Then, he walks back to the boys' party with a Scotch neat.

Monica: "Ok, the first person's most embarrassing memory is, 'Monica, your party sucks.' Very funny."

Phoebe: "Oh no, ooh, ooh, did somebody forget to use a coaster?"

Monica: "What?!"

While Monica inspects the coffee table, Phoebe waves Gunther out the door.

Monica: "I don't see anything."

Phoebe: "Great, I'm seeing water rings again."

Meanwhile, Ross walks in wearing bifocals as Rachel & Mrs. Green approach him. Then, he walks back to the guys' apartment with a cigarette in his mouth. Later, Monica & Phoebe go to the guys' apartment, Phoebe with 3 of Monica's party guests in tow, while Rachel leads me over to her mother for moral support while Ross is with her dad.

Rachel: *to Mrs. Green* "You want me to see a therapist?"

Mrs. Green: "Sweetheart, you obviously have a problem. You've chosen a boyfriend exactly like your father."

Rachel: "Ok Mom, you know what, fine, I'll make an appointment ok? But you know what, right now, I gotta go do a thing."

And so, Rachel goes back and forth between parties and parents, with me hearing the parts she discusses with her mom.

Mrs. Green: "You work and you work and you work at a marriage but all he cares about is his stupid boat...He always ridiculed my pottery class, but when all is said and done, he still drinks out of the mugs. The scotch and the cigarettes...I may have only been in therapy for 3 weeks now, dear, but..."

Eventually, Rachel leaves the apartment, and I head into the hallway at the same time as Chandler to see Rachel pacing.

Chandler: "Hey, how you holdin' up there, tiger?-*pauses*-Oh, sorry, when our parents were getting divorced I got a lot of tigers. Got a lot of champs..."

Me: "Chiefs..."

Chandler: "Sports. I even got a governor."

Rachel: "This is it, isn't it? I mean, this is what my life is gonna be like. My mom there, my dad there. Thanksgiving, Christmas. She gets the house, he's in some condo my sister's gonna decorate with wicker. Oh, how did you guys get through this?"
