A/N: I promise. I am working on this story. However, I have been working on others more. If you want me to update this before I actually do, feel free to tell me to update, but please give me about three days to do so.
Thanks

I laid down on my bed, not caring about the food on my face or my clothes. I was too tired to care, and all I wanted to do was fall asleep and forget about the world for a while.
Or you could forget her... the annoying voice whispered. You will feel so much better if you do.
No, I said, my voice barely above a whisper. I will not forget about her. She is my best friend and cares about me. She cares about me more than my parents do.
Doubt settled on me like a warm blanket, and I couldn't help but wonder if that was true or not.
Did she care about me more than my parents do or not?
There was a knock on my door, and I lifted my head to look at it before I laid it down again because I knew that it was Sam and not someone else.
Again, there was a knock on the door, and I turned away from the door so that I wasn't facing it but the wall, praying that whoever it was would get the hint and leave me alone.
However, the person didn't get the hint and didn't leave me alone.
Instead, they opened the door and closed it once they were inside, and I knew that it was Sam. There was no doubt in my mind that it was her and not someone else coming to check on me.
Tell her to leave, the voice whispered, and my whole body grew tense. She didn't ask for permission to go into your room. She is invading your own space.
I closed my eyes and buried my face closer into my cover, not caring that I was getting whatever I had on it on my bedding. I can't... I said weakly while the person stood at the door, not moving an inch. I can't do that to her.
You can and must, the voice replied. Yell at her to leave.
I gritted my teeth together and closed my eyes tighter, hearing the small click as the door was closed but no one came towards the bed that I could hear. No... I said, but my voice was weak. I will not. I can not.
Then you are weak, the voice whispered harshly, and I flinched and bit back a whimper. You are useless. They were right. You are not fit to be an Alpha.
I am too, I said, even though I was slowly starting to doubt myself. I am fit to be an Alpha. It is my birth right.
"Tommy?" the person asked when they made it to my bed, and I knew that it was Sam.
She sounded far away, and I didn't like it nor had no idea where she was. She didn't jump on my bed like I thought she would, and that made me upset.
Don't let her see you upset. Kick her out. Ignore her.
I gritted my teeth and closed my eyes tighter and tried to block out the voice.
No...
"Tommy?" Sam asked again and pulled on the bed sheet, and it felt like it was a lot lower than it should. "Are you asleep?"
"Yes," I replied, my voice muffled by my covers. "Go away."
"No," was her reply with a small giggle in her voice, "and I know that you aren't asleep."
I scoffed and rolled my eyes before I opened them and turned around and saw her on the ground, sitting there and looking up at me with big eyes.
Be mean to her, the voice in my head said. Look at her. No friend of the Alpha should be on the ground like that getting dirty.
"Why are you on the ground?" I asked, ignoring the voice, even though it was getting harder for me to do so, and all I wanted to do was be away from her for a while until I was able to control it again.
Sam shrugged and cocked her head while she looked at me. "Because," she replied, simply, and I scowled and narrowed my eyes.
"Sam," I warned, and she grinned, her eyes becoming filled with mischief and mirth, and I couldn't help but scowl, even though all I wanted to do was smile because I thought she looked cute. "Why are you on the ground?"
"I crawled from the door to here," she replied and gestured to the bedroom that she had closed behind her. "I didn't want to disturb you if you were trying to fall asleep while I walked."
"But aren't you disturbing me?" I asked a little rudely, and Sam ignored the rudeness in my voice while she shrugged. "What would you have done if I was asleep?"
"Probably sit here and wait for you to wake up," she replied with a small shrug. "I was coming to check on you because I saw that person drop their bowl of food on your head." She scowled and narrowed her eyes. "I don't like him."
I didn't respond and placed my head back down. I closed my eyes, deciding that I could ignore her while she sat there, waiting for me to do something rather than lay around and mope.
Tell her to leave, the voice said, and I was about to but decided not to, even though it was hard. Trust me, it will get easier if you start to follow my directions. Maybe then your pack will start to accept you as their young Alpha and not some killer's friend.
I closed my eyes tighter and whined while I grabbed my head. Please, leave me alone, I begged. Haven't you done enough?
No. You haven't kicked her away like you should.
Do it.
Now!
Please, I begged and closed my eyes. Leave me alone.
"Tommy?" my best friend asked, concern filling her voice. She stood and poked my head with her finger, not even caring that there was something in it. "Are you ok?"
Kick her out.
"No," I said, my voice shaking. "I am not, but please leave me alone, Sam." I ducked my head closer to my chest and moved a bit so that she couldn't touch it. "I will be fine later. I promise."
Sam stayed silent, and I had a feeling that she narrowed her eyes while she looked at me.
"Not until you get up and take a shower," she said, her tone having this warning to it, and I couldn't help but smirk a little, "and we get your sheets taken care of before the Luna knows what happened."
I sighed and closed my eyes. I knew that she wasn't going to let up and knew that it would be best to follow her instructions.
Or you could tell her to get out of your life and tell her that you hate her...
But I don't, I whimpered. I don't hate her. I can never hate her.
Well, you should. She is ruining your life. One day you will know what I mean.
"Tommy?" Sam asked again. "Get up. Let's get this taken care of so that we can go play. Ok?"
"Ok," I said, my voice barely above a whisper while I pulled the blanket off of my head and opened my eyes to stare at her. "Let's get everything done so that we can play."
Or for her to leave you alone...
