Chapter 30

Lee told them all what had been going on the last few days. We went inside to the library. Which Wes had opened back up in hopes that I would come back. Dwayne stood beside me. We explained how we got Lee out and made a deal with him. But Lee was not in it for that anymore. He wanted to protect his one and only child now. I got that. The girls had talked to Dad, learning what had happened. They forgave him for the moment. But they vowed that if he screwed us over, they would kill him, no questions asked.

We also went over Dad and Lee's plan. They had told them about Lena, and how she orchestrated the entire trafficking ring inside the cartel, and the murders. And Dani agreed to stand guard, to be away from Tracy. She was not mad that Lee was her father, just that Tracy had lied to her for years. Lee had forgiven Tracy, he still cared for her. And it seemed like Walter didn't care one way or another. Noah was upset with me for leaving and putting myself in danger. he was my all-time best friend, and he was mad at me. Dwayne was glad I made it out alive.

Tracy agreed to never keep any more secrets from then on. And she insisted Lee stay with us, and Dad. Maybe having everyone working on the same page to take Lena down, would help when she did are up. From my understanding, Lee had told us, that she was showing improvement. So she would wake up. Dani excused herself to leave the library. Lee kept looking at the door, wondering if he should go after her, or stay there. I looked at him and mouthed 'Go.' Cause she would listen to him before she would Tracy right now.

"So, the plan is simple, Dani and Tyler will stand guard outside of Lena's room, and if she wakes, we will be notified. We will add extra security to the Villa, if she finds out where we are, she will send people to assassinate us," Luke says. Derek nods looking at Wes.

"Wes and I will team up as Head of security, and gather the best of the best, while Luke and Lee reach out to their teams as well, Chloe be on standby in case someone needs medical attention and Riley, you and Addison will aide anyone passes those doors with what needs to be done, I'm trusting you both to ensure the team gets here and gets clued in, now, Noah and Matthew, you've been training, we will arm you both, should someone walk through the doors that is not in mine Lee's or Luke's team, shoot and ask questions later, got it?" Derek said. We all agree except Walter, he is just confused.

"What do I need to do, me and Tracy," He asked. Tracy pepped up hoping they would have an assignment.

'Walter, train Matthew and Noah to use a gun, mom you have done plenty but in any case, you can help water train those two to use weapons, and afterward Walter, you need to reach out to some contacts, and see if they hear anything on their front," he said. Walter nods, and Tracy looks defeated.

"Now, the days ahead won't be easy, training, and knowing the enemy will be hard but in time, we will defeat Lena and her team, as for the girls, it stands, that you will need some training too, as record has it, Addison puts her life in danger for those she cares for, Dwayne you and Addison will train each day for an hour or two in the shooting range, and Chloe and Riley will join you," Derek says. Faith in me, never. But at least I was training with a gun. And should I need to shoot someone, I could. I hope.

When we all received our jobs, we were dismissed to our rooms. Tracy and Walter left first. Wes was in charge of showing Dad where he would sleep. So dad left with Wes and the girls stayed behind with me and Derek. He was gathering old papers from one end of the library. And as upset as I was, I couldn't help but wonder, if he knew that Wes and I were putting on. I looked at the girls, and nodded to them, to leave. They look at Derek and then at me, and nod, leaving us by ourselves.

I walk over to where he is rummaging through those papers and stand beside the shelf. He looks up at me, for only a second before he returns to what he's doing. And for a second I want to wrap him in a hug and make him look at me, but he would just push me away. So I started a conversation instead.
