Harry and Scarlet are both a few months old, both are already able to walk
When Remus and Sirius had finally decided to let Scarlet meet Harry (when they had gotten used to having a small child), James was overjoyed.
The couple arrived at Potter Manor with their daughter and Lily and James as well as Sirius and Remus stood across from eachother with a bit of space in between, their children with the parents.
Whilst Harry went to the middle almost immediately, Scarlet was definitely more hesitant. She stood behind Remus and hugged his leg.
Harry slightly frowned, not wanting her to be afraid of him, so he walked over to her and took her hand. She followed him into the middle, but not without turning to her dads. When both gave her a reassuring smile, she turned back around and looked at Harry. At this point, Lily was taking an enchanted picture with her camera.
Suddenly, something that no one had expected happened: Harry brought Scarlets hand, which was still in his, to his mouth and kissed it. Whilst Remus just smiled, Lily squealed and James started cheering his son on and saying things like "he got that from me" or "good job Harry!" proudly, Sirius quickly walked over to the toddlers and picked his daughter up whilst saying "Nope, not having that. No boys for Scarlet until she's 30."
Remus rolled his eyes at that, knowing it was his husbands dramatics taking over.
Scarlet started wiggling in her dad's arms, trying to get out of his grip and back down. At the same time Harry stared at Sirius, who got very intimidated by the toddler's glare.
"Prongs, I think your son is planning my murder right now."he told James, hoping that he would take his child.
"He isn't the only one." James threateningly replied, his friend's eyes widening at his statement.
He started to panic when Harry started slowly walking towards him. Every step the boy took forward, Sirius took one back, until he slightly collided with the wall behind him.
"Listen, Harry. I-I'm sure we can talk about this. MOONY, HELP ME!"
Remus did in fact not help. Instead he was laughing so hard at the situation, his stomach started hurting. When he had finally recovered, he took Scarlet out of his husband's arms.
"I think this is a problem between you two." He explained, leaving him with a look of betrayal on his face. Sirius closed his eyes, expecting any kind of attack from the toddler, however, nothing happened.
Remus had set Scarlet back onto the floor and Harry immediately put his attention to her, smiling as he staggered towards the girl.
Sirius' face had an even bigger look of betrayal, his mouth now being wide agape.
"I feel so shocked and betrayed right now." He let Remus know, who just shrugged it off.
"Well, let's put the kids to bed and then we can plan Marlene's surprise party." Lily said, taking Scarlet and Harry in her arms as she walked up the stairs. In the baby room she put each into a crib. The Potters had another one just for Scarlet. It didn't take them long until they were sound asleep.
That's what she thought.
As soon as Lily had exited the room, closed the door and descended the stairs, Harry opened his eyes and carefully climbed out of his crib and into Scarlet's. He crawled next to her, making sure to not wake her up and hugged her. This time he really fell asleep.
After the adults had discussed the party, it was pretty late, so Sirius went upstairs to get Scarlet.
Whilst Remus was saying goodbye to Lily and James, they heard a shriek from upstairs.
"Are the children okay? Something must've happened!" Lily panicked.
"Calm down, Lily. That was Sirius." Remus, who was getting annoyed now, answered. All three made their way to the three children.
When James saw Scarlet and Harry cuddling, he speeded downstairs, grabbed the camera, ran back upstairs as fast as he could and quickly took a picture. Sirius stood next to the crib like he was frozen. His mouth wide open, his eyes full of pure shock.
If only Sirius knew that, in a few years, this sight wouldn't be unusual at all...
