Scarlet is 4 here

"IS DADDY OKAY?" Scarlet asked Sirius worriedly on a Full Moon. It was a particularly difficult one for the small family, due to the fact that the girl had started comprehending things that happened around her and she could now remember more.

When she had seen the brunette leave their house, she asked where he was going, forcing Sirius to tell her everything. The men never had intended to keep it a secret from their daughter, but her reaction was what made it very difficult for the curly-haired man.

Sure, she had a headache herself, but still, the whole evening she was standing in front of the kitchen window, waiting for her dad to return, hopefully unharmed.

"I'm sure of it, sweetie. Let's go to bed now, it's late and the faster you fall asleep, the quicker you'll see daddy again." Sirius attempted to get her to rest yet again, the stress she was experiencing wasn't good for her headache at all.

"I can't go to bed yet, papa! What if he comes back the second I fall asleep! I want to see him right when he gets here. I need to make sure he's okay!" She explained, getting more upset by the second, almost crying out of worry.

Sirius sighed, not sure what to do. He could understand her, he was obviously worried for the love of his life as well, but Lily had explicitly said that sleep was very important for the girl. He knew that she wouldn't sleep, she was way too upset, so he had to cheer her up and tire her out.

It was like a lightbulb appeared over his head as the idea hit him. He left the room, just to walk in again a few seconds later, in his animagus form. He ran towards the little girl and nudged her leg, making her turn around in confusion.

Once she had spotted the black shaggy dog, she began giggling, not paying any attention to the window anymore, instead running after him when he left the room once again. He made sure to run as much as he could, knowing he was her main focus and that she wouldn't stop following him.

It took him about twenty minutes until he was exhausted. She, however was still full of energy, wanting to run around even more. If it wasn't a full moon, Sirius would've put on a record that she could dance to, but the loud music would most likely enhance her headache.

Instead, he took all of his leftover energy and staggered towards her bedroom, where he hopped onto the bed and began jumping on it. She was quick to repeat his action, laughing loudly whilst trying to reach the ceiling. It was not until he almost fell off of the bed, he realised how dangerous it was. He transformed back into his human form and casted a few spells on the floor and the bed to make it safe. Then, he began smiling as he watched his daughter have the time of her life. Before he knew it her jumps began getting lower and lower.

When she let out a yawn, he picked her up carefully and took her to the bathroom to brush her teeth and treat her hair. She was barely able to keep her eyes open, so when they came back to her bed, she basically fell asleep just like she had hit the mattress. Her chin to her knees, curled up in a ball. She had obviously forgotten all of her worries. Sirius softly chuckled before placing a kiss on her forehead and whispering "good night, little star."
