Part 2 of the Bellatrix visit

THE NEXT WEEK Scarlet found out that it was very difficult to hide many bruises and a wound which said 'I am a monster' from her fathers, but she had to do it. She was too scared of what Bellatrix would do if she told them.

Sirius Black was not oblivious. He had noticed the difference of his daughter's behaviour immediately. She was overexcited to be back home after the week and when he had raised his hand to give her a high five, she flinched. He knew what that meant. He remembered it all too well. So, the same evening he and his husband payed a visit to his dear cousin, making sure she won't hurt anyone again (imagine that how you want to).

He knew he had to somehow help Scarlet without making her uncomfortable by bringing it up, so the first few days he chose to avoid the topic. That all changed one morning when he went to wake her up.

He went towards her bed to softly shake her and saw something on the back of her hand.

"Good morning dad." She yawned, whilst Sirius frowned, inspecting the wound further.

"What is that?" He said, taking her hand into his.

"Oh, it's nothing." She responded, trying to free it out of his grasp, failing due to his tightening grip.

"Wait, what does it say?" He took her hand closer to his face, trying to figure out what was written there.

"Oh, it doesn't say anything. I j-just uh, got hurt when um I was...outside, yes. It was a...bush with thorns! Don't worry, I disinfected it and it doesn't hurt at all." She lied, hoping he wouldn't be able to dicipher the letters.

"I am a monster." he read, then lifting his gaze so he could stare right into her eyes.

"Scarlet, did she use a bloodquill on you?" He carefully asked, the small girl breaking down immediately.

"S-she t-told me not to tell a-anyone o-or she'll h-hurt m-me." She confessed, tears streaming down her face, revealing a bruise on her cheek.

"Oh, don't cry little star. It's okay. I noticed your behaviour and we went back to hers the same day. Don't worry, she won't ever come close to you again. I promise. " he calmed her down.

"W-what did you do?" She asked, her tears already stopping.

"Let's not worry about that now, sweetie. Now, why don't we visit Lily so she can help with the bruises and then you can hang out with Harry for a bit. Is that good?" He suggested, bringing her into a hug.
