OF COURSE SIRIUS BLACK HAD HEARD OF THE 'terrible twos', however, he had always just laughed anything related to the topic off, he was sure that everyone was just exaggerating. His opinion had only changed when his own daughter went through the phase.

The issue was not that she would throw temper tantrums, Scarlet had always been a very calm child, it was just that she had certain preferences that were sometimes difficult or hurtful to fulfil. Some may call it picky.

The black-haired man's problem was that he felt very neglected by his child. She would not let him hold her hand whilst using floo or ask him for some help. Scarlet always ran to Remus Lupin, it was like she was married to him.

Sirius also felt a lang of jealousy towards his husband, although he knew himself that his behaviour was ridiculous. Not only was it not the brunette's fault, but it was also just for a certain amount of time. At least that was what he hoped for.

REMUS LUPIN HAD OBVIOUSLY NOTICED his husband's hurt, but it wasn't an easy time for him either. Of course, it was lovely getting lots of love from Scarlet, but having a toddler almost attached to the hip made many things a lot more complicated. In the hardest moments, he reminded himself that his patience would pay off. Additionally, he always tried talking the girl into doing things with Sirius, even if they were just small problems to solve, it meant a lot to his husband.

ONE DAY THE TWO MEN WERE in the kitchen, preparing a snack for their daughter, who was occupied with playing with her stuffed animals on the counter, and talking.

"Did James write yet? How are they? Lily told me that Harry was throwing lots of tantrums when I last saw her. Makes me glad our little star isn't as loud, but maybe we'll check if that's normal. Should we see Doctor Croyth?" Remus began the topic. Just as Sirius was about to answer, Scarlet quietly started talking, well, as good as she could.

"Wanna eat please." She politely smiled.

"Alright miss Scarlet, table will be all set in a minute, let me just help you get in your chair." The brunette tried grabbing her from the kitchen counter. She shook her head and pointed to Sirius.

"Daddy help please." The black-haired man happily helped her and once she was munching on one quarter of her toast, which had marmelade on it, Remus whispered "I told you it was just a matter of time."
