"OKAY SO, I THOUGHT EVERYTHING was back to normal and so did Harry. But then, the week after, suddenly she's sitting at the Slytherin table."

"WHAT?" Sirius gasped, not expecting that plot twist.

"I'm not done yet." Scarlet told him.

"There's more?" Remus' eyes widened.

"Harry and I were just minding our own business at the Gryffindor table, when suddenly I see someone out of the corner of my eye. Guess who is right beside her, holding her hand and feeding her pancakes whilst holding INTENSE eye contact." She began, "Blaise motherfucking Zabini."

"HER BEST FRIEND'S EX?!" both men simultaneously exclaimed.

"Exactly. So the tension was felt all the way from the Hufflepuff table, everyone is just waiting for something to happen, even Snape seemed invested."

"Tell us what happened!" Sirius demanded.

"But nothing happens except for multiple glares from Ayla. Until mail arrives and Misha gets a howler. Everyone was so silent, I think we would've heard it even if it had whispered. But it's from her parents, telling her how proud they are that she came out to them as a lesbian."

"OH MY MERLIN!" The brunettes jaw dropped.

"Turns out, all of it just happened because she has a crush on her best friend. She was trying to get her jealous so that she would come crawling to her."

"I knew she was a bit gay when I saw her at the station this year, like cmon, you don't just cut your hair from hip-length to a pixie cut and accessorise with crystal jewellery, I should've seen it coming." Sirius remembered, Remus nodding along.

"Well, her plan completely backfired. They had to do five dorm changes to make things less awkward between them. And when the apology letter came in last day before holidays, Ayla didn't even open it, just threw it in the fire and watched it burn."

"Your face tells me you're not finished, but I don't know how anything could top what you've told us." Remus said.

"Buckle up, cause it's about to get really crazy. Guess who's back together with Blaise after reconnecting over Misha being shitty to them."

"NO! How come we had such boring lives at Hogwarts, Remus?"

"Sirius, we literally spent more time in detention than class, which already says a lot. Now shut it, I need about the Sam thing you mentioned earlier and then I'll tell you about that bitch from the supermarket."

Usual teatime on the first day of winter break at Lupin-Black cottage.
