AU where Scarlet is also a werewolf

"PLEASE SCARLET, YOU NEED TO DRINK IT." Sirius Black begged his daughter for the third time that day. It was the day of the full moon and she had yet to take her wolfsbane.

"No, it tastes yucky! I don't want it!" She exclaimed, tears beginning to form in her eyes. She tended to get a lot more emotional during the days before the full moon, just like her dad.

"Please, I'm not trying to be mean to you, I promise it will help you later, okay." He also had tears in his eyes. This was the hardest full moon yet, as she was more aware of her surroundings now. She understood that medicine would help her, but nothing was hurting her, so why should she have to drink the disgusting potion?

When Scarlet realised that she was hurting her papa, she sighed, took the vial and drank it completely, she knew he would never hurt her on purpose because he loved her more than anything. The taste was horrid and she visibly shivered, but it was over now. Next thing she felt was Sirius' arms around her whilst whispering praises in her ear.

"Good job, honey. Now, Wormy and Prongs should be here any minute now, it's almost sunset." He thought out loudly.

As if on cue, the fireplace lit up green and the two men stepped out of it, greeting the two. Loud footsteps thundered down the stairs as a pale Remus descended them. He picked up Scarlet and looked at her. Remus' heart shattered every time he looked at her on the day. He was the reason why she couldn't live a normal life. She relaxed into his touch, knowing it was time for them to go.

The five made their way to the nearby forest, which was far enough from any humans that could be endangered. They just made it in time before the sun had set, signalling the start of the transition. The three men turned into their animagus forms quickly, just as Scarlet and Remus began transforming. Loud cracks were followed by screams. Padfoot couldn't even look at them, hearing the ones he loved most in pain was hurtful enough.

Ten minutes later it was finally over, so in the place of the man and the child now stood two wolves. The smaller one instantly began running away from her father, commencing a game of tag. Moony didn't hesitate to run after her.

Several hours later it seemed like they were finally getting tired. Scarlet layer down in a small field of moss, Moony laying around her to shield his daughter from any dangers. When Wormtail accidentally stepped a bit too close to the small wolf, Remus tried attacking him, just missing the rat with one of his claws. He gave one last warning growl to the three animagi before laying his head on the green moss and closing his eyes. Padfoot, Prongs and Wormtail relaxed and let themselves also rest.

When the sun had risen and Scarlet and Remus had transformed back, the five made their way back to the Lupin-Black cottage, grateful that no one had any injuries they had to tend to. Sirius was carrying the little girl, who was too tired to walk on her own. Once they had arrived, the group separated, James and Peter returning to their homes.

Remus didn't waste any time and got into bed straight away, taking an already sleeping Scarlet with him.
