IF THERE WAS ONE PERSON who Scarlet Lupin-Black loathed, it was Harry James Potter. The boy asked her out at least thrice a week and it aggravated her. She just wanted him to let her alone and not draw this type of attention to her.

Luckily, it was Christmas holidays, so she was back home with her dads. The only problem was that Harry's dad was her godfather and his mum was her godmother. Also, the three of them were invited for Christmas dinner at the Lupin-Black cottage. Fun.

As the doorbell rung, the girl quickly fixed her red dress and went downstairs to greet the guests.

"Oh, it's so lovely to see you, Scarlet! You look incredible!"

"Thank you, Lily. Your dress is gorgeous too!"

"Hello, how are you? Did you get Sirius the chewing toy that I recommended?"

"Hello, James! I'm great, I didn't, I found something different but the idea was great."

She took a deep breath before turning to their son, who was already staring at her. He took her hand in his to kiss it, but she quickly pulled it away before he could do it.

"Ello, love! You look very pretty today, well not that you don't look pretty other days but, uh you know-"

"Thanks Potter, I guess. Oh, and stop calling me love."

"Why are you using my last name so often? Don't worry, it'll be yours too very soon."

He was lucky that all of the adults were engaged into their own conversation, not hearing anything they said. If Sirius would've heard any of it, Harry would be dead.

"I see you've spent the start of the break with thinking of poor pickup lines to use, huh? I've told you often enough, I won't go out with you. You're a disrespectful douche bag who thinks that everyone exists to get you what you want. You strut around like an emperor and you don't care about others." She told him, leaving him stunned. He didn't want her to think that of him, he needed to change his behaviour.

It was now dinner and the teenagers sat next to each other in silence. Scarlet felt a bit bad for snapping but he deserved it. Still, it didn't feel right that he was so quiet.

"So, Scarlet. What did you get this morning?" Lily broke the silence, noticing the awkward tension.

"Thank you for asking, I got a few books, two vinyls, stationery and some sweets. Oh, and chocolate. Lots of chocolate."

Everyone looked at Remus, who was snacking on a chocolate bar, when she said the last part.

"What? It's not my fault chocolate is delicious."

After dinner, Scarlet sat on the sofa next to the fireplace, internally groaning when Harry sat beside her.

"So, I was quiet throughout dinner, will you go out with me now?" he took his chance.

"No."

"Oh, come on. Just one date."

"Honestly, are you daft? Just because you didn't talk for twenty minutes doesn't mean I'll go out with you! You need to humble your ego." She snapped again, growing even more angry when he started smirking.

"Oh wipe that dumb smirk off of your face, Potter."

He just mumbled something along the lines of "mslto"

"What?" She asked

"Mistletoe" he replied, still smirking and looking up. She looked up as well, seeing it grow out of one of the fairy lights.

"Oh, come on." The girl groaned.

Harry, not wanting her to feel uncomfortable, made sure to let her know that she didn't have to kiss him if she didn't want to. The caring thought made her smile a bit before muttering  "it's okay."

He carefully took her cheek into his hand, like he was scared it could break any second, before placing his lips onto her soft ones passionately, savouring every moment. He wanted to kiss her for ever, it felt so perfect.

When he licked her lips with his tongue, asking for permission, she finally pulled away, breathless.

"Not so fast, Loverboy. You have to take me out first." She smiled, he couldn't stop staring at her slightly swollen lips.

"Will you go out with me?" He asked, confident as ever.

"I'll consider it when we're back at Hogwarts, but you need to start caring for others more, you know. Narcissism doesn't look good on you at all."
She said, leaving the lounge and going upstairs.

"I'm such a simp." Harry stated.
