Taking a bath

Scarlet is a bit less than two years old here (she can say a few words)

REMUS LUPIN WONDERED WHY THERE WAS NO ONE in sight when he entered the house. It took him a few minutes to find his husband in the bathtub, Scarlet on his knee, splashing the water and babbling. Sirius was massaging an extra curly hair shampoo for babies onto her scalp when he noticed the tall brunette standing in the doorframe.

"Why are you standing there? Come on in, join us Moony!" He animated. 

His attempts were ignored, Remus instead kneeled next to the tub, starting to try talking to Scarlet, who just happily threw in random syllables and noises, giggling when her dad let out a chuckle.

"Nice to hear that you had a great day, miss Scarlet." The tall man smiled.

Sirius, getting inpatient, turned her away from him, telling her to help convince Remus to join them. "Please, Rem, come in. Its nice n warm here and its soooo fun, isn't that right, little star? Daddy should join us, don't you think?" He pouted. She looked at the curly-haired man, then repeated his actions, muttering something, then looking at her dad very expectantly.

Remus rolled his eyes, not being able to conceal a small smile, got undressed and entered the tub, sitting on the other side of Sirius. He took the small girl off of his husbands lap, putting her on his own. She seemed to just register what had just happened, because her eyes just started to shine and a giggle was heard. She hugged her father excitedly, then started tracing his scars, entering a whole other world.

"She grows up so fast, it's incredible. I swear we just picked her up yesterday. Its crazy how fast time goes." Remus said, staring at her lovingly, slightly flinching when she touched a pretty fresh wound from the recent full moon.

"Sowwy." She frowned, taking her hands off of his arm quickly, not wanting to hurt him.

"It's okay, sweetie. Could you maybe just not touch the red ones? They still hurt a bit." She nodded, continuing her previous actions on his chest.

"I know." Sirius sighed. "It makes me feel so old."

Their conversation was interrupted by their daughter. When she had reached the scars on his face, she ran her finger over the scar he hated the most: a long line across his nose, muttering "pwetty daddy.", probably not even noticing that she said anything, as she looked very surprised when the brunette pressed a kiss to her forehead.

"Thank you, miss Scarlet. You look very pretty as well." He returned, tickling her sides, making her let out a happy squeal. Meanwhile, Sirius took the shower head and washed the shampoo out of her hair, knowing she wasn't exactly fond of it.

Not long after, all three of them were out of the bath, getting ready for bed. Sirius was currently treating his daughters curls. He knew what was good, he had the exact same hair structure. He had promised himself that he wouldn't let her ever have a bad hair day, so the treatment was very important.

Remus was already in her bedroom, heating it up slightly, it was promised to get colder for a few days and picking out new pyjamas for her. He ended up choosing one that Lily and James had gotten her when they visited a week ago. It had stags, dogs and wolves all over it, Harry had a matching one.

When he came into the bath, he got her changed quickly, knowing she would fall asleep any second. The black-haired man then carried her into her crib. As soon as her back hit the mattress, she fell asleep.
