Plot:
> In Central City, a series of high-profile robberies are committed by two masked men; Leonard Snart and Mick Rory with ice and fire elemental guns respectively. After a few years of working tirelessly, The Central City's hero known as The Flash managed to help CCPD in bringing these so-called Captain Cold and Heatwave criminals behind bars. Meanwhile, Barry Allen is now having a good life after engaging with his fiancee, Iris West. Working as a CCPD forensic scientist, Barry is assisted by his brother-in-law Wally West to solve many cases with his skills and Wally's intelligence. And behind it all, Barry is secretly also protecting the city as The Scarlet Speedster himself; The Flash. Meanwhile, a man is reading an online news article when the news of Snart and Mick catches his eye. His eyes glowed red before leaving the room fast. Meanwhile, in Black Gate prison, Snart and Mick were sitting and discussing across each of their cells. Suddenly, a blur runs forwards there and breaks out of their cells, releasing them in a flash. The man brought him into a warehouse where he introduced himself as Eobard Thawne. Snart used to distrust this and thought he was just The Flash in disguise, especially after he claimed himself from the future. But he changed his mind after Thawne proved himself by giving them new advanced weapons. With this, Thawne asks them to do a favor by working for them to bring the man who imprisoned them; The Flash. The next day, Barry and Wally arrive at the scene to investigate Snart and Mick's escape. Barry finds a speed tachyon energy similar to him and secretly takes a sample to analyze.> We moved to the flashback to when Barry was 9 years old. It was his worst nightmare as he witnessed the murder of his mother, Nora by the same mysterious blur with red lightning tachyon. This incident soon brought his father, Henry to be imprisoned as he was accused of the murder. Now in the present, Barry returns from his daydream after Wally calls him. After finishing his work, Barry soon takes some time to visit his father's cell and share a heartfelt embrace. Barry tries to entertain his father, telling him that he may just have found the clue behind his mother's death. However, he was unhappy and begs Barry to stop his search, despairing of his fate and wanting to let go of their past. Barry gets annoyed at this and sternly states how he will never stop. In STAR Labs, Barry meets up with Professor Silas Stone, the one who helped him in Flash's career the most, to examine his sample. They found out that its tachyon is similar to his but surprisingly, its energy is negative instead of positive like Barry's. Barry then heard the news that Snart and Mick are wreaking havoc in Flash's museum. He suits up and stops the two with his usual tactics. However, their new technology is so powerful that it can even produce their elemental strength like their superpower. Barry failed many times as he was also stopped by someone much faster whenever he used his speed. It was Thawne, and both Snart and Mick managed to lure Flash with their action. Barry is knocked unconscious and taken with Thawne steals his suit and uses it while he starts chaos in Central City, making it look as if The Flash has gone rogue.
> Iris, who also knows her fiance's secret identity, believes he wasn't the real Flash she always knew. With her brother's help, she must struggle to uncover that imposter to stop his madness. Wally accidentally enters Barry's room only to find Silas's phone number on his desk. They went to STAR Labs seeking help to find Barry. During this, Wally still disbelieves learning that Barry is Flash the whole time. Silas had tried to locate the suit's tracker, however, he couldn't find it as the user may have turned it offline. Losing hope, they hear a distress signal of intruders that are soon to be revealed as Captain Cold himself. Snart tries to explain everything they go rogue. He may hate The Flash, but he loves Central City and doesn't want to see it turn into a sea of fire. For him, Thawne has gone too far from his purpose that he decided to betray him. Snart takes them to where Barry is being held in a power-dampening cell and guarded by Heatwave. While he fights his partner to distract him, Iris and Wally go to break Barry out of his cell. After they defeat Mick, Snart tells them everything he knows about Eobard Thawne. He was a scientist from the 22nd Century who idolized Barry as The Flash. His obsession soon loses his sanity as he even tries to recreate a face similar to Barry's. However, things changed after his family died in a car crash and nobody, even his generation's Flash, saved them. Disappointed, now he devoted his life to taking down The Flash. He went as far as figuring out how to give himself similar power, but his experiment also allowed him to travel many periods that he decided to go to Barry's childhood to kill his mother to prevent The Flash's creation, though it ultimately didn't turn out well as he expected.
