Plot:
> Oliver Queen is an arrogant from an African-American wealth family who experienced a life-changing tragic incident. Following a shipwreck, Oliver was stranded on the island and lost his father after losing a lot of blood on the journey. 7 years passed, and Oliver honed his mind and body and perfected unimaginable archery skills. But when he returns home, Oliver hears a rumor about the person behind his yacht's hijacking, triggering his anger to go uncontrollable. For 2 years he has operated as a vigilante named Green Arrow, inspired by his idols, Batman and Robin Hood but under vengeance as motivation. One day, a turf war between two mafia gangs, Bricks, and Roman Sionis aka Black Mask, erupts within the city. Oliver tries his best to stop both gangs while continuing his mission. One night, Oliver visits Black Mask's nightclub disguised with his playboy persona. While he was observing around, Oliver was distracted after being fascinated by a singing woman on stage. The club was then suddenly attacked by a man with the same equipment as Green Arrow. Instead of running away, the woman goes forward and surprisingly unleashes a sonic scream to fight the man. Oliver luckily suits up in time to help although the man manages to escape. The next day, the police are searching for the man now they are labeled "Komodo". Black Mask accuses Brick of being the one who sends Komodo despite his clarification. As usual, Oliver receives hate and underestimation for his vigilante actions. However, he has assumed that Komodo was the answer to the hijack that he's seeking. Oliver starts gathering some info by sneaking into Brick's mafia house.

> However, he accidentally met the same woman from Roman's nightclub who dressed as a servant. The woman attacks Oliver for thinking he was interfering with her first. But after realizing the same purpose, the two ended up cooperating. The woman also introduces her as Dinah Lance, a singer nicknamed "Black Canary" who became a metahuman after the invasion. Dinah encounters Brick while she delivers a drink before Oliver confronts him. Rather than getting an answer, the duo's plan is interrupted by Komodo and Oliver later goes after him and puts a tracker. On the other hand, Oliver accidentally leaves Dinah at the place. Brick captures and tortures her once learning she was BM's intel. This causes Oliver to question whether he must finish his priority or save Dinah, the one he already fell in love with. Oliver chooses Dinah and goes to locate her at the empty warehouse. He brings Dinah to his basement after the rescue for treatment of her injuries. Meanwhile, Roman was outraged before being attacked by Komodo. This soon changes citizens' perceptions of their hero from Green Arrow to Komodo. Oliver was uncomfortable to hear the news and wanted to end them. However, Dinah disagrees and argues that Oliver should be introspective from the way he acted rather than bringing someone else down, but he badly ignores her. He keeps pursuing Komodo to the end, he realizes something. Komodo is Simon Lacroix, a scientist and Queen Enterprises employee who lost his job due to Ollie's attitude. He was rageful and seeking revenge. Using his intellect, he secretly watches Oliver the whole day, then transforms himself into his poser but with something better than him. Despite vengeance, he acts as the city's hope to prove Ollie was wrong and tarnish people's beliefs towards him. Whilst the whole rumor about the hijack is not real as Simon authored itself.

> Dinah was right. Oliver thought he had better himself but in reality, he remained the same. He was blinded by his desire and ambition and became irresponsible as used to be. Meanwhile, Simon secretly freed Roman and informs that Green Arrow had "kidnapped" Black Canary beneath Queen Enterprises. Simon learns that Roman is having a crush on Dinah and that he utilizes this chance to trick people. However, Oliver is already aware of this and orders Dinah to prepare herself. Both Roman and Simon team up to enter the basement whereas Ollie and Dinah are hiding in a trap. The duo eventually manages to set up an ambush, beating them. Oliver uncovers the whole truth before imprisoning Simon and Roman. Oliver saves his father's legacy. Learning from his mistake, Ollie also changes his motivation in fighting crime from vengeance into hope as it's supposed to be. In the end, Dinah chooses to move somewhere afar to clear her mind after sharing a kiss with Ollie, signifying him as her true love over Roman.
