I was drowning. No one was going to save me or Toad. Toad! I opened my eyes and looked for him. He was slowly sinking, but also going up. I was sinking as well. I couldn't fight the currents as strong as I was being washed away.
Another splash hit the water. And then another. I tried to find out what it was but my eyelids were too heavy.
An arm grabbed me by the wrist and pulled me up. As soon as I was out of the water, my eyes opened and I started coughing water. I turned to the arm with the hand gripped on it. Mario saved Toad and I's life. "You saved our lives."
