Augustus ended up gifting Sebastian the little magnifying glass as a "token of his thanks" and tucked his things into two large pink bags that he slid across the counter to a smiling Sebastian who's grin immediately dropped after realizing he would have to carry them around Hogsmeade.

Reluctantly, he tucked the little handles into his palms and sulked out of the shop.

"Hey Barlowe..." He shouldered me as I closed the door to the shop and stepped out into the sunlight of the town circle.

"I will not be carrying your bags Sallow."

Ominis grinned. "Good girl. You tell him whats what!" He held a hand out in my direction and I happily circled mine around his arm, the two of us stepping away from the little shop, leaving Sebastian to huff grumpily and follow behind us.

"Where are we going anyway-"

The little newspaper shop to our left began to tremble, stacks of papers tumbling off the tables around a rather frazzled shopkeeper.

"What in Merlin's name?"

It was then that I felt the tremors below my feet - rolling and hiccuping like heavy hurried footsteps.

A few ladies in long dresses and tilted hats began pointing over my shoulder and gasping as they stumbled backwards. I felt a chill roll down my spine as I whipped my head around in the direction of their fingers. A familiar tingle crept under my nails and around my throat. I pulled Ominis' hand to direct his body behind me, now facing the rumbles as they grew louder.

"What's going on?" His frantic voice was nearly drowned out as something large and grey roared around the shop corner, breaking a small stand and nearly crushing the tree at the center.

Dropping into a defensive stance as Professor Fig had taught me, I pulled my wand out quickly and shielded Ominis with my body. Sebastian was at my side in a moment having dropped his bags near the edge of the little newspaper stand. His wand was out and he took a half a step ahead of me, jaw was pulled tight and shoulders pressed back.

The giant grey thing roared again and landed with a tremendous thud.

A troll.

Larger than I had ever seen, club in hand and teeth barred. Around its neck and shoulders was a familiar pulsing red glow of armor - the same I had seen the day I had visited Gringotts.

"Ominis, get out of here. Theres a fucking troll." Sebastian hissed back at his friend and Ominis' features froze. He had already taken his wand out and had directed it toward the noise but I didn't have more time to watch him as a few witches from behind us began casting frantic spells against the beast.

It stumbled backwards slightly only to throw its shoulders forward and growl, slamming its club against the ground and shattering a bit of the stone pathway with an earsplitting thud.

It began to charge at the witches who had cast at it and I frantically lunged forward, casting a few spells of my own. Sebastian did the same.

The troll whirled around - eyes glowing with a rage I'd never dreamed of. Raising its club up over its head, I clenched my fists against my wand preparing to cast a shield.

"Bombarda!" A fierce woman from the other side of the town center shrieked and the troll was once again winding its body around to the source.

The woman who had cast the spell stood feet shoulders width apart and wand held high, her black robes and tall black hat commanded an authority of an Auror as she shouted directions to a few witches and wizards who had stepped up behind her. "Draw it away from the buildings! Away from the villiage!" They took off down the street and the troll raged after them.
