Alexander's Pov

"I'll do it " I say as I look Lexa in the eye , seeing her face furrow she probably doesn't know what I'm talking about .

"I'll marry you , and take on whatever responsibilities you want me too . If you don't leave them behind ." I whisper as I hang my head down in defeat . 

"People need to believe it , that's its not some kind of fake marriage. " she says and why didn't I yeet myself over a cliff so on top of marrying her and doing whatever we have to make it seem like we are in love . Just put me out of my misery now .

"I'll hold up my end if you help skaikru get their people out of the mountain " I whisper while keeping my head down .  Feeling her grab my chin she lifts my head up and our eyes meet .

"We will say that we accept the deal the moment they open the door we rush our people inside ." She says and well it's a good plan if the door is already open we just have to march in .

"Oke commander " I say with a defeated nod . Turning around the two of us walk over to the man  who was about 25 feet away from us waiting . 

"We accept,  once our people are out the door we will retreat ." Lexa says and I put my swords on my back to make it seem like I'm not a treath anymore . 

"Retreat your people from the caves and we will let them go ." The man says and I know there is a team in the caves trying to get in .

"Deal " Lexa says and she walks over to one of the grounders while my eyes stay on the man standing 7 feet away from me . 

Hearing the sound from a horn I know Lexa gave the command to take her people out of the caves.  

"I've held up my end now its time for you " Lexa says as she moves back over besides me . Seeing the man grabe radio he starts to speak "the commander has accepted our deal we are falling back , let her people go . "

"How do I know you will hold your word " I say as  I know once he is back in the mountain what's stopping him from keeping his word . 

"I'll send my men with you unarmed once your people are out you let them go " he says as he motions 8 men over and they put their weapons down on the floor .

Looking at Lexa I see her give me a small nod and I just hope this was the right thing to do . 

"I hope you keep your word " I say as I turn away and walk towards the group of grounders with the mountain men infront of me with their hands up . 

"Let's go " Lexa says as she walks over to the group and we start walking back towards the army who start chanting once they see Lexa and the mountain men with their hands up . 

Coming to a stop infront of the door I see Indra walk towards Lexa with a frown .

"Heda , why did you make us retreat " she asks and once those words leave her mouth Clarke storms over and well she is pissed . 

"What do you mean retreat , why are they even here " Clarke yells at lexs as she motions towards the mountain men .

"I made a deal , my people for yours " Lexa says and I can see Clarke try her hardest not to break down at the betrayel .

Keeping my head on the door I hear it open and soon people start moving out of the long hall . 

"Lexa you can't do this " I hear Clarke yell as I just keep looking forward as the half naked grounders pass me , these people look like shit like wtf happend to them  . 

When the last people walk out I grab my swords and look at Clarke with a smirk before running into the mountain .

" Alex no " Clarke yells but I keep running .
