Part 38

Alexander's Pov

As me and Lexa reach the square all people bow down as they see us . Keeping my head high me and Lexa stand on top of some stairs and welp here we go .

"Please rise " I say and everybody gets up and all eyes are on me and Lexa right now .

"What happend here is not just ,  As you all know the city of light is destroyed by Alex " Lexa says and I know some people didn't even wanna leave the city of light . A life without pain sounds appealing to most .

"We know some of you didn't wanna leave it . Some of us have lived trough pain others can't imagine.  But if you loose you pain and your free will you also wouldn't be able to love and be happy .  We can't have one without the other " I say and I think I made sense as I see people think about my words .

"But one person tried to take advantage of this situation.  One person took the time we where trying to solve this as her chance to grab power " I say and I motion for the gaurds to bring Ontari out who has her hands tied behind her back .

"Ontari kom Azgeda,  you killed 7 Natblidas in their sleep as you tried to take power for yourself . " I continue as the gaurds bring the girl on her knees infront of me and Lexa. 

As Ontari's back Is facing me people start yelling at the girl for her actions but I raise my hand and they stop. 

"The punishment for this is dead " I say as I take my sword in my hand and people silent as they hang onto every word I'm saying. 

"Do you have any last words ?" I ask the girl as I place my sword against her neck . And stand in front of her looking her straight in her eyes. 

"Not for you " she says and spits on the ground in front of me .

"So be it " I say as I grab ahold of my sword with both hands and bring it back before swinging it at her neck . Taking her head clean off and her body falls onto the ground .

"Get her ready" Lexa says and two guards move over and take the body of the girl away . We decided to do the same thing they did with Finn and his victims it seems like the right thing .

"Heda " people start chanting and now it's Lexa's turn to raise her hand making them stop .

"Let us move forward into a time of peace . We need to leave the events of the city of light behind us" Lexa states and I see the gaurds place Ontari's wrapped up body onto the pyre .

Stepping down the steps me and Lexa walk over to the pyre . As we both take the torches from the gaurd we ligt the pyre together .

"Yu gonplei ste odon" I say and soon everyone follows as the flames grow bigger and bigger .

"Let it be known time off war between the clans is over . You can all either accept this or be exiled. " I state and my voice booms trough the square.  Handing the torche back to the gaurd I slowly start walking out of this place with my head held high and people part for me like I'm some sort of God right now .

Walking into my room I run my hand trough my hair and release a breath I didn't know I was holding . Taking the shoulder cape off my body I trow it on the table and walk onto the balcony. 

Placing my hands on the railing I look down at the city . Six months ,we have six months to find a way for humans to survive. 

"Why did you do it yourself " Lexa asks as she wraps her arms around me from behind .
