Tino's POV
"Happy birthday, dear Victoria. Happy birthday to you!"
Everyone sang out, Vin and I standing in the back, watching the pack celebrate our sister's 18th birthday. Neither of us was in the party mood. I looked around and all of her pack mates close in ager were here. And not a Lycan in sight. I had invited them as a formality but I guess this was their way of declining.
I turned and my eyes met a pair of green ones, and I couldn't hide my annoyance as she walked towards me.
"Please help me," I whispered to Vin and he just chuckled and watched our interaction.
"Hi, Tino. You look so handsome today." Her voice made me want to throw up.
"Thanks," My voice curt, and moving my eyes back to my sister.
"How would you feel if we took some time to talk--" Before I knew it she was interrupted by another woman's voice. A voice was unrecognizable. But I have seen her face around.
She had thick curly brown hair, and it was blonde at the tips. She had dark brown eyes and cream skin. She was a beautiful girl. Anyone with eyes could see that. I noticed that she had two cups in her hand and she walked up and handed me one.
"Hey, back with drinks." She smiled at me. I looked down at her and raised an eyebrow, I caught a glance at Vin but he just shrugged. He was just confused as we were. I went along with it and I grabbed the drink and took a sip. Dalia's eyes filled with jealousy as she watched.
"Who is this?" She asked, anger seething out of her at this point.
"Oh, sorry. I'm Genevieve. But you can call me Viv, or Genna." She smiled at Dalia, and I was extremely grateful to whoever this girl was for getting Dalia away from me.
"Right, okay. I will see you later than Tino." Dalia backed away, still not seeming convinced I know this girl.
Once she was gone, I moved my eyes down to look at the girl in front of me. She was relatively tall, maybe 5'9? But honestly, I didn't care. What I cared about, more what shocked me was the fact I was attracted to this she-wolf in front of me. Something I didn't think was possible anymore.
"I saw her staring at you for about thirty minutes before she decided to pounce. Just thought I would help you out." I heard Vin let out a soft snicker, but my gaze stayed on the girl.
"Oh Tino! I'm so glad you finally met. This is Genna, my bestie." Victoria yelled as she walked closer and threw her arms around her friend. Genna's face lit up with a smile as she looked at my sister. "Remember? I told you about her when I went on her birthday trip a few months ago?"
I vaguely remember a conversation between Victoria and I, about a friends' 18th birthday but she's never mentioned Genna, and I have barely seen her around. It was weird, but part of me wish I had. Strange.
"Yeah, yeah I remember." I lied. But she didn't need to know that. Moments later another one of Victoria's friends walked up. She was a pretty girl, shorter than the others. Black hair, and it was short like a pixie cut. I saw Vin lock eyes on her as she stood in front of him, but still by Victoria.
"This is Lin, my other friend I told you about."
'We should really start listening when she talks to us about her friends.' Vin said through our mindlike. I couldn't help the smirk that went on my face. So he was smitten too? Interesting.
'I agree.'
"Oh, I'll be right back. Be nice." Victoria directed that to both Vin and I. But eyes never left the girl standing in front of me.
