164. Rallying Together

Once you've left hell, everyone drives over to Spooky High to meet up with each other. Surprisingly, you're the last ones to arrive. Everyone else is already outside in the parking lot, talking to each other. As soon as Scott turns and enters the parking lot as well, everyone turns in your direction. Scott stops his van, and you immediately unbuckle your seat belt and jump out to greet your friends. Vicky and Oz run up to you, wrapping you up in their arms into a big hug. Vicky says, "Oh my gosh, (Y/N)! Are you okay? I was so worried about you after prom!" Oz adds, "Yeah! And then when you were in the hospital, and your mom showed up, and you went insane!" You're then attacked from behind as someone wraps their arm and tentacle around all three of you. Zoe's voice rings loudly in your ears, "You screamed and started bleeding like, all over the place!" Amira also jumps in, "And then security kicked your mom out, and she was not having it! She didn't want to go anywhere! She was pissed!" Suddenly, someone makes a loud whistle to get everyone's attention. It was Vera, and she says, "Alright, that's enough. Get off them," everyone takes a step away from you, and Vera continues, "Now then, what did you need us for? You said it was an emergency." You sigh, "Well, I wouldn't call it an emergency, per se. It's more of a reassurance thing? Or maybe I just needed backup?" As you start to think more about it, you realize that all you're doing is getting a few things from your old house back. Damien and Scott alone would've probably been enough, and the added strength of Stan and Lucien would make it even easier. You don't really need all your friends for this. You swallow and continue speaking, "On second thought, maybe I don't need you all. All I need is a few people, and I've already got them. But... Now that I have you all here, I might as well tell you something else."

You proceed to tell your friends about the events that happened on prom nights. The sights and visions you had after you were stabbed. You recounted your conversation with your father and brother and revealed the truth you had learned. After you finish, everyone is a little bummed. Especially the people behind you. You hear a sniffle and you turn around, seeing Scott with a teary-eyed smile. Damien is looking down at the ground with a scowl, and Stan has Lucien in his arms, both crying quietly as they hear. You step back and grab Scott's hand, squeezing it. He squeezes back, refusing to let the smile fade from his face. You turn back to your friends, "For those who don't know, I'm moving in with the LaVeys. I know they'll treat me much better than my mother ever has. I've moved a good bit of my stuff in already, but I don't have all of it. I was fine with that, but I realized that I want all that stuff back, and for once, I'm going to take it back. I originally wanted some extra backup, but I didn't expect everyone to show up. Besides, my mom is one person. With five of us, we don't have anything to worry about. Thank you all, though," you look up at Scott and smile, "Let's go, babe."

You go to get into the van when Vicky says, "Alright! Just lead the way, guys!" You turn around and see them all going back to their cars. You ask, "Wait... What do you mean? Lead you where?" Amira says, "Well, you already told us to be here. And since we don't have any other plans, might as well give that woman a piece of our minds." Vera chuckles, "Yeah, I canceled my blackmail collection for this. I am not missing it for nothing." Zoe excitedly says, "You know how in anime, the final villain is like, super overpowered, and you're always on the edge of your seat to see if the heroes will win? I've always wanted to know what it would be like if the heroes had such an overpowering presence that the villain wouldn't be able to fight back!" Polly screams, "Hells to the yeah! I was killed for standing up to a friend's mother, so I have experience~" With a sinister glint in her eye, Miranda adds, "Don't worry, we won't hurt her too much." Everyone gets into their cars, ready for battle. Brian approaches and bumps your arm, "Sup, roomie? I'm excited to live with you." You ask, "Do you live with them too?" Brian chuckles, "Might as well. I spend more time there than anywhere else." You smirk and look at Damien, who's blushing with a pissed look on his face. You laugh and Brian adds, "You also might want to invest in some headphones. He gets pretty verbal when I'm pounding-" Brian is cut off when Damien punches him in the mouth, making you all laugh even more. After a second, you decide it's time to go. The day's not getting any longer.

You get into the van with Scott, who leads the way for the rest of your friends. As you're driving, you say, "Hey... As I was telling them all about what happened, I realized something. When I was talking to my dad and brother and... Mawmaw... I forgot to tell you what she told me to tell you. She said-" You stop talking once Scott puts his hand on your thigh. He rubs it with his thumb and says, "Don't. Not right now." You're confused, "Huh?" He pulls over to the side of the street, right in front of your house. He turns to you, "This moment is about you. We're together for you, and only you. You can tell me later, okay? When we're getting the rest of your stuff at Damien's place." You smile, "Okay," you look at your mom's house and ask, "Hey... You should've parked in the driveway." "But there's already another car there." Your head quickly turns to look; sure enough, your aunt's car is there.
