Outside the dressing room stood Yoongi, stealthily listening in to the conversation between Seokjin and Nova. Instead of leaving to give them privacy, he chose to hang back.

Originally walking out into the hallway after Nova indicated that she was going to talk to his hyung, he decided to stay. After Nova walked into the dressing room closing the door behind her, Yoongi walked back in. As quietly as he could, he sat on a chair next to the door so he could listen in to the conversation.

Even though Nova showed no reason not to trust her, he couldn't in good conscience leave the two of them alone.

Especially after hearing Nova's conversation with Rodrigo.

She had been hurt and was haunted by past trauma.

He got it.

He understood that.

His instinct to hang back wasn't anything against her. This was about protecting his hyung. The one who he had lived with for over a decade and considered family.

Yoongi hadn't seen Seokjin that visibly depressed in an extremely long time.

His hyung was normally really good and kept it all together, sometimes sacrificing himself in order to look out for his brothers. Although that didn't happen as much now, he always worried about his only hyung's mental well-being. Seokjin was known for hiding the dark and negative, not wanting to burden others.

The fact that he became despondent to the point of refusing to go on stage or talk to anyone...

It was extremely concerning to say the least.

Until he knew his hyung was in a better headspace, he felt that it was paramount to stick nearby.

As he waited he felt the vibration of his phone go off .

🐥🍡: Hyung, where are you?

🍊😾: The green room.

🐥🍡: Oh, Jin Hyung still there?

🍊😾: Yep, in the dressing room. Nova just went in. I'm hanging out in case hyung needs support.

🐥🍡: You found her!!! Where was Noona? She okay?

🍊😾: You were right, she was triggered. Rodrigo got ahold of Elle who came and explained all that she could to Joon and I. Nova just showed up to clear the air with hyung. I'm staying close to make sure everything is okay. I didn't like the state that hyung was in. Scared me shitless, TBH.

🐥🍡: Honestly, I think it affected him so negatively because he has already fallen hard for her. I saw the longing in his eyes the day we met her during that fiasco. I've never seen hyung look at someone so fondly before.

🐥🍡: Also ... Elle?!?!! You going to finally tell us what happened?

🍊😾: I agree, I've never seen hyung that eager to get to know someone. Or that affected by someone.

🍊😾: What's there to tell? I thought I made a great connection with a fellow producer who is a skilled editor. Randomly plops in my lap, kisses me aggressively, then runs away the moment she thought I wasn't going to return the kiss. She's completely ghosted me since then. Blocked my number and has refused to come around the hotel or Nova (when she is with us) ever since then. This was the first time she has spoken to me in almost a week.

🐥🍡: You denied her kiss? Not saying you had to, just curious.

🍊😾: Never denied, or openly refused. Jimin, I froze. I fucking froze. Must be an idiot, but I didn't expect it. Caught me off guard. Not saying I didn't enjoy it 🤷🏻... I just wasn't expecting it in the moment.
