"You're not allowed to friendzone me, ever again."
"I don't plan on it."
Continuing to hold him tight in her embrace, Nova pulled the two of them into her house while kicking her front door closed.
"I invited you to stay here with me because of your injury. Give you a place to rest that had more comforts of home compared to the hotel. Most of all, I selfishly want you for myself."
"Will you stay here when I have to return to the hotel?"
"I booked a room next to yours," she smiled.
"Cancel it."
"What? Why????"
Nova's anxiety immediately spiked. Was she reading this whole situation wrong and overstepping? Did he not want her close after all?
The panic quickly dissipating the moment she saw the soft look in his gaze.
His hand went up and caressed her cheek softly. Seokjin could no longer contain the stupid grin that he had been holding back.
"Because I'd rather you stay in my room, Yeobo."
"Wait, what?!?!!"
He couldn't help but delight at how flustered she had become. His heart leaped knowing that although his request caught her off guard, her body language showed that this was something she wanted as well. Nova didn't look away and was still facing him completely. Seokjin could also see the longing in her eyes.
"In LA, your hotel room became obsolete by the end of our trip. So why book a separate room when I want you in my arms every night possible while I am here. I have an inkling that I'm not the only one who feels that way."
"Are you sure we should be sharing a bed while you have that cast on? You already know that I have a tendency not to lay still when I sleep. Last thing I want is my tossing and turning to hurt your finger."
"That's why I have the cast on. I could get away with just the splint, but been erring on the side of caution. If you are that worried, you could always be the big spoon."
As usual the playful smirk about sent Nova into cardiac arrest once again.
"You gotta stop that Jin. My heart can handle only so much."
He laughed as he rested his hands on her waist.
"I missed you so damn much Nova, thank you so much for letting me stay here."
Jin once again took Nova's breath away when he rested his forehead on hers while continuing to hold onto her waist. Afraid to let her go.
"I know I'm a couple days late, but I wanted to tell you in person... Happy Birthday Yeobo."
"Just your presence is the best present I could ever ask for," she whispered shyly, just loud enough for him to hear.
Seokjin wanted so desperately to close the gap between them and finally kiss her after many months of waiting. Ready to taste her sweetness once again. He held off for the time being knowing that once he opened up that door again, there was going to be no end in sight for the foreseeable future.
Sensing his hesitation, Nova broke the silence.
"Let's get you unpacked and settled. I'm sure you are exhausted and want to rest."
Much to his protest, Nova pulled herself out of his embrace. Grabbing his right hand with one hand and the other his small roller luggage, she began leading him into her home.
"Did the managers take care of the rest of your luggage?" Nova asked.
He nodded, "I packed everything I'd need while staying with you in that smaller suitcase. Everything else was taken to my hotel room. Jimin and Yoongi offered to get everything settled for me. I wouldn't mind swinging by tomorrow to make sure everything is there."
