"Never a dull moment, I fucking swear," Elle muttered as her phone continued to blow up with notifications.

Stepping out of the train car, Elle made her way through the subway station and towards the staircase. Quickly taking two steps at a time, she was in a rush to make her way to the office as soon as she could. Taking a deep breath as she reached the top step, Elle couldn't help but marvel at the beauty of Seoul in the early morning light.

With the sun beginning the peek through the horizon, Elle began the short walk from the Yongsan station to her new place of employment - HYBE Entertainment.

Knowing that once she stepped into the office everything would be in chaos, she took a moment to pop into a convenience store to purchase an iced coffee and onigiri for breakfast. Surprisingly, in the few days since she had arrived in South Korea, Elle had acclimated quite well and was enjoying everything that this country had to offer.

Finding a secluded bench outside the HYBE building, Elle took a moment to enjoy her breakfast as she allowed herself to think about the journey that brought her to this moment.

To say that Elle was the queen of royally fucking up would be putting it mildly.

The mess that she got herself into all started when she willingly chose to shut out her former best friend right before Christmas.

The reason behind it all?

She was jealous of Nova's friendship with Yoongi.

Granted the pregnancy scare didn't help, but in the end, she hated the friendship that the man she liked and her best friend had. What made it worse was the fact Nova rejected a relationship with Seokjin in practically the same way that Yoongi did to her.

Was she projecting her frustrations regarding Yoongi onto Nova? Absolutely.

It made no sense other than a response to unhealed trauma she couldn't identify until it was too late.

Elle had fallen into depression back in December but never told Nova about it. Since her friend was in the process of moving to Los Angeles, she was none the wiser. Elle locked herself in her condo, staying there until her mom practically busted her door down.

Less than twenty-four hours later, Elle was on a plane headed toward Seattle.

For the next few months, she stayed with her father in Mercer Island as he helped her seek the help she needed. Knowing that his daughter needed a distraction outside of her therapy, Mr. Jackson reached out to some of his connections and was able to help Elle get a sound engineering internship.

Her dad, Aaron Jackson, had been a very successful entertainment lawyer in LA.

He stepped away for a while to help his wife at the time - Cass - start her own fitness studio. Unfortunately, due to a bad business decision that he made of his own volition, they were left practically penniless.
