Four Months Later

The afternoon sun brought warmth and comfort to Nova. Looking at the crowd gathering outside of the Busan stadium, the sight of ARMY brought a smile to her face. It was mid-October, the day of the Busan concert, and the weather was perfect.

Standing under the arches of the stadium, Nova looked out at the crowd in awe.

With her staff credentials, she had an all-access pass to tour the stadium. With sound check over and the guys getting ready, Nova decided to talk a walk around to clear her head. Choosing to walk around the part of the stadium that was closed off to the concertgoers, Nova was thankful for this moment of solitude to soak everything in. The silence of the secluded area was peaceful and much needed knowing how emotional the night was going to be for everyone.

Nova may have been wearing her all-access staff credentials but for this particular concert, she was not there as an employee. For the first time, Nova had the opportunity to attend the concert as a spectator. One with VIP privileges.

It had been quite an interesting past three weeks, an emotional roller coaster to say the least. Back in July plans were made for Nova to come out to Korea for about 7-8 days in time to watch the Busan concert. All of that changed towards the end of September when Jin came down with a sore throat.

Nova was forever grateful for the two-and-a-half weeks with Jin back in late June. The two of them capitalized on their time together.

After the last of the PROOF comeback performances aired, Jin took Nova on a romantic getaway to Jeju. Even though their main activity consisted of the couple making love to each other on every possible surface at the private villa they stayed at, they still found time to explore the island. During one particular walk, Jin whipped off his shirt so Nova could take the infamous tattoo reveal photo that broke the damn internet.

As soon as they returned to Seoul, they packed their bags once again to head up to Jin's hometown. Nova was a pile of nerves on the drive there as she so desperately wanted to be accepted by his family. Thankfully, that is just what happened.

"Nova? There you are my dear, I was wondering where you ran off to!"

Turning around to the voice calling her, Nova instantly smiled. Walking toward her was the woman who welcomed Nova into Jin's family with open arms, Mrs. Kim.

Nova couldn't help but internally laugh at how differently they were dressed for today's event.

Always dressing to the nines, the elder woman had on dark wide-leg trousers, a simple white top, with a lightweight cardigan while her hair was styled in a low chignon, and wearing simple sneakers that went along with her outfit. The finishing touch was her simple yet elegant makeup and understated jewelry. On the contrary, Nova had her favorite black high tops on, ripped skinny jeans, and a white Yet to Come shirt with the fancy French tuck. She not only had makeup on but also had her hair messily curled with it half up in her signature top knot.

These were the two most important women in Kim Seokjin's life. Although they carried themselves in two completely different ways, there was more to them than meets the eye. The two women were extremely similar in many different ways.

This was part of the reason they bonded quite well over the past few weeks. Creating a close relationship while caring for the human they both deeply cared for.

"Oh hi, Eomma," Nova stepped away from the railing to walk into the waiting arms of her potential future mother-in-law. Allowing herself to be wrapped up tight in her embrace, Nova sighed deeply, taking what felt like her first true exhale in quite a while.
