After a long summer vacation, college classes had to start again. And Minho had to eventually come back to start his last year of college.
That morning, he got ready quickly, and left for university, a bit of stress in his system.
He wasn't stressing about the classes, he was stressing because he was scared of what kind of reaction his friends would have to see him again as if he hadn't been ghosting them for months.
He spotted his friend group in the corridors, he took a big breath and decided to walk toward them.
"Hi" He said, loud enough to be heard by everyone and they all turned to look at him.
They froze for a second, their eyes widened, and didn't let Minho time enough to react as they jumped at him, hugging him tightly as they fell to the floor.
They giggled as they patted Minho's head, happy to see their friend back. They got up and helped him up, as Minho locked eyes with Jisung, who was waiting. He didn't run to him, he stood there, his arms crossed.
Minho approached him with a smile, as Jisung kept a pout on.
"You're hair grew up a lot" Jisung said, out of the blue
"Yeah, I didn't want to cut it" Minho answered
"You ghosted us" Jisung stated, faking offensiveness, even if was really offended by that.
"I'm sorry" Minho responded sincerely.
"I was worried"
"I'm sorry" He responded again, still sincere.
Jisung shook his head as he hugged him tightly. He didn't like being ignored, but he missed him a lot.
For the rest of the day, Jisung stuck to Minho like superglue everytime he could. He was truthfully not letting him go, he kept constant physical contact.
Minho didn't complain, quite the contrary, he was pretty happy to have the pretty boy around him for the whole day.
At the end of their first day, they decided to hang out altogether at the park nearby, wanting to talk about their respective holidays and whereabouts.
As Minho sat down on the grass, he was surprised to see Jisung sit down just in front of him and lean back into him, almost being on his lap. He smiled as the squirrel boy took Minho's hands and wrapped them between himself, leaning his head into Minho's shoulder.
They stayed like that for the whole hangout, just cuddling and talking.
"What about you Minho?" Chan asked, curious about his friend's holiday
"I helped my grandparents in Gimpo" Minho stated
"What did you do?" Hyunjin asked curiously
"Just farmer stuff and some fishing, nothing much" He explained with a shrug
"That's why you come back with more muscles" Changbin said with a chuckle
"Yeah, it's pretty sporty" Minho answered
Minho checked the time, and realized he had to go back home.
"I have to go, I have to cook dinner for my parents" Minho explained.
He decided to do some favors for his parents. They had done so much things for him since he had been down, he wanted to give them those favors back.
"I'll go with you" Chan said, smiling at Minho.
Minho wanted to get up, but Jisung didn't move.
"Come on Ji, I have to go" He said as he lightly shook the boy
"Mmh" Jisung said as he moved away, letting the older stand up.
As they got back home, Chan wanted to take advantage of the situation to have a talk with Minho, but he didn't know how to start it without Minho avoiding it. He stayed quiet, thinking, until he was interrupted by Minho's voice.
"What do you want to tell me?" He asked, taking the words out of Chan's mouth.
Chan chuckled, fascinated by Minho's way of getting into his brain
"I wanted to tell you that I was worried too during the vacations" Chan said
"I know, I'm sorry. I didn't want to worry you all" Minho apologized
"But also... I kinda was worried for Jisung"
"What do you mean?"
"He had been stressed the whole time. We had to stop him to go ask your grandparent's address to your parents. He was constantly talking about you and asking us if we had news he didn't have" Chan explained, wanting to warn him about what happened.
Minho felt bad. He knew Jisung's struggles, he knew that the boy had an harsh anxiety.
"Do you think I should talk to him?" He asked, feeling slightly guilty
"Maybe" Chan said "But I think we're just all very happy to see you again"
"I'm happy too, and I'm sorry I disappeared like that but to be honest, I don't regret it. I needed some alone time, and I feel way better now." Minho explained and Chan nodded understandingly
Minho agreed to have a conversation with Jisung, and he knew that the boy would perfectly understand that he need to breathe a bit far from everything. But he wanted to apologize sincerely to have caused him to stress, he should have been a bit more communicative about his whereabouts.
