The end of the year was approaching, so were their finals. Which meant that big exams were coming ahead of them.

It was stressful for everyone, they were all deep in their studies, trying to work hard from the lack of work they had during the year.

Changbin Chan and Jisung were buried in their studio class, working for hours and hours trying to get their big project done before the deadline.

Jisung had been anxious, way too much. All of them had been trying to help him relax as well, mostly by forcing him out of the studio and bring him to cafe dates to change his mind a bit.

Minho was the only one who wasn't stressed at all. He wasn't studying much and didn't care at all, he just thought that he would go to his exams as he went to an ordinary class and he would see how it would go.

And that is exactly what he did.

He went out of his exam room pretty chill, also pretty confident that what he did was good enough for him to pass, which drove Jisung nuts

"How can you be so chill about that?" Jisung asked, nearly yelling

"It's just an exam" Minho said as he shrugged

"That's the problem!" Jisung exclaimed and Minho chuckled at his antics.

The day of the results, they all gathered together. They saw the results individually, each one of them telling the others how it went.

"Seungmin?" Chan asked as he came back

"I passed with almost all the points" Seungmin said as he smiled. Seungmin was a had worker, he deserved it. He also had a beautiful voice, so it was never hard for the vocalist major to have nice scores.

Then Changbin went, for Chan and Jisung as well, and he came back waddling happily.

"We passed with the highest score" Changbin exclaimed as Chan and Jisung ran and jumped to him happily. They danced around in victory, happiness filling the air.

Then Felix and Hyunjin went checking their scores, also coming happily because they passed with a high score.

"Lee Minho let's go" Jisung encouraged as Minho walked bored to the results panel. He came back lazily, his face expressionless.

"I got 16/20" He stated flatly, as if it wasn't a big score for someone who hadn't done shit for his exams.

"Ha! I got 0,5 points more than you" Hyunjin nagged as Minho glared daggers at him, approaching him slightly.

"Nevermind" Hyunjin said as he hid behind Jisung, making the latter laugh loudly.

Happiness filling the air, they went to a restaurant to celebrate their victory. It was a heartwarming moment, all of them talking loudly about what was going to happen for their summer vacation.

What they didn't know was that it would be the last time they'll see Minho for the rest of the two month vacation.

For two months, Minho completely ignored the others.

He traveled to Gimpo without telling anyone, and stayed there for the whole time, even when his parents came back to Seoul.

He stayed there with his grandparents and helped them around. He drove them around the city when they needed to, he helped them around the farm, he even went fishing a few times with the neighbor. Sometimes, he would walk around and get lost in his music (most of his new playlist being 3racha's songs, unexpectedly). He was living a retired man life and was glad of it.

He tried to distract his mind as much as he could, and it truly relaxed him, way more than he originally thought.

He needed a pause in his life, so he took it and cut ties with the rest of the world for a bit.

He was almost never on his phone, maybe once or twice per week to answer some messages his friends or parents left them.

At first, it was thousands of messages and calls from Chan and Jisung who wondered where the hell he was, then he told them he was going to be at Gimpo for the rest of summer so they relaxed.

Then he just responded from time to time to their friend group, not much because of how chaotic the conversation always was. He also always read Jisung's messages that he sent daily, most of them telling how his day was, and Minho would answer, always fully involved in Jisung's recap of his day and also telling him about what he did for the week.

Even if it seemed a bit radical, and maybe rude towards his friends, Minho had never felt so much at peace, and he needed that more than anything.
