============================

Nothing much happened on Thursday.

I watched some WWE, texted Demi and tried to eat the rest of the contents of my kitchen so I didn't have to throw anything out.

I had to throw out about half of the contents.

I went to sleep rather easily.

Friday was extremely eventful.

My alarm went off, and there was a message on my phone.

Demi ☺️ 05:12
Change of plan, we need you at the hotel by five pm. You mentioned you don't live in NYC? Send me your address, I'll pick you up.

I texted Demi my address and got ready for the day.

I pulled on another oversized shirt (this one was pale green) and a pair of skinny jeans.

I pulled on a different pair of stripy socks and I walked to the kitchen.

Buzz.

Demi 08:23
I'm on my way.

I didn't expect her to be leaving that early.

Didn't she say I needed to be there by 17:00?

I put the 2021 Women's Royal Rumble on my TV for what might be the last time.

By the time it was over, there was a knock on my door.

I opened it and there stood Demi, in a tank top and jeans.

I let her in.

'You've got a really nice little apartment,' she commented.

I smiled.

'Have you got all your stuff together?' she asked.

I pointed to the pile of bags beside the door.

Demi picked up my suitcase effortlessly.

I picked up my two bags with a small struggle.

Demi saw me struggling and took my heavier bag from me.

'Can you open the door?' she asked. 'I've kind of got my hands full.'

I pushed the door open and held it there with my foot, leaning further into my apartment and calling for my cat.

'Molly! Molly?'

Molly appeared from my bedroom and wrapped herself around my leg.

I picked her up and followed Demi into the corridor.

She took the stairs as 'they're quicker' and was surprisingly fast for someone who was carrying a full suitcase and a nearly full bag.

I followed after her once more, stopping in the lobby.

I stared at the vending machine longingly.

I knew it was for kids; it dispensed collectible stuffed animals but I really wanted one, and now could be my last chance.

Demi watched me and put one of the bags down, delving in the pocket of her jeans for a pound coin.
