I finished my meal and waited for Demi to finish hers.

When she did, we left a ten pound note on the table and went back upstairs.

We took the lift and went back to our room.

'I guess we should unpack,' I said, sitting down heavily on the bed.

'Are you alright?' Demi asked.

'Yeah, why?'

I started smiling.

'You just didn't look as happy as usual. You do now, but- y'know.'

I nodded and repeated my question.

'Should we start unpacking?'

'Of course,' Demi replied.

We started unpacking, putting clothes in wardrobes and items on windowsills.

Demi had less luggage than I did, so she finished quickly and started helping me.

'Thanks for the help,' I said with a smile, pecking her on the cheek.

She smiled.

'It's the least I can do,' she said.

I smiled back at her and wrapped my arms around her chest.

She patted my hair.

'What time is it now?' I thought aloud.

17:34

'Do you want to do anything?' Demi asked, reading the time of my phone screen.

'We went out earlier, I don't want to do anything too expensive,' I said thoughtfully.

'Don't worry about that, we can do anything you fancy.'

Gosh, Demi's so sweet.

'I am going to worry about that, I'm not draining your bank account,' I said with a laugh.

'We could go for a walk,' Demi suggested.

'Yeah.'

We went back downstairs and walked down the road together, hand in hand.

'Do you want to get ice cream and then walk around the park?' Demi asked.

'Maybe not ice cream, but we can go to the park,' I replied.

'Whatever floats your boat.'

I blinked at her.

'What's that supposed to mean?'

'You've never heard that phrase before?'

'No?'

'It means whatever you want.'

'You could've just said that then.'

'But I didn't, did I?'

I fell silent and stared at the ground as we kept walking.

'I think the park's down here,' Demi said after a few moments.

She was right; we were met by a large field full of people walking their dogs and having picnics.

'We should have brought food,' Demi commented.

'We literally just ate,' I said.
