Sunwoo thought it would be a normal Sunday where he would be lazing around, doing nothing but refreshing himself on the soft mattress all day but he was wrong.
He soon would find out that it was absolutely an abnormal Sunday.
The part which he was lazing around was indeed correct. He was sitting on his bed, scrolling on his phone which then, unknowingly his fingers froze, unable to get out from the page he currently was looking at.
A smile formed on his face in a real quick, a same smile he was wearing lately.
A bit, he did ask himself - why it had been so easy for him to smile endearingly? It was nothing, it was only a picture of Kim Haeun with her sister. Why it had intrigued him?
Sunwoo sighed as he tossed his phone aside. Falling backward, he resembled himself as a starfish as he looked up at his ceiling - blankly.
Everything was a mess inside his head. He just spent his morning reading all the contents of Haeun's journal, inviting an unknown feeling inside him.
What was it?
"You're home?" an appearance of Younghoon by the door did not scare Sunwoo, his eyes were still glued on the white ceiling. "You're so silent that I thought you aren't home".
The older walked in further, taking a seat on a swivel chair next to Sunwoo's bed, the younger's head rolled towards his direction.
"This is my house. It's not weird if I'm home", the younger sassily remarked, slowly getting up with another big sigh.
"Wow, that sounds heavy", Younghoon concerned, his brows knitted together. "What's up bro?"
This time, the misery started controlling Sunwoo. He messed with his own hair, tugging them harshly, groaning was heard echoing in the room.
"I don't know what I'm feeling right now. Why suddenly I feel so guilty? Why I keep wanting to see her? Why must I keep thinking about her?"
He rapped in one breath, his eyes widening at every words. He started coughing at the end - running out of oxygen, but Younghoon remained calm. It was as if the older had been expecting to see this.
"Take you so long to finally realize", Younghoon slyly smirked, crossing his arms. He exactly knew who they were talking about. "I do believe that we shouldn't be hating someone because later we will fall in love with them".
"I don't hate her", Sunwoo retaliated, defending himself. "It just happened that I wasn't in mood everytime she talked to me".
"And you finally figure out the void inside you after she took a step back?"
Sunwoo pondered at the question, his eyes slightly squinted as if he tried to find a simple yet full with meaning answer.
"Yes", he finally admitted, raising both of his hands in defeat. "I kinda.... miss to see her bubbly side but after that day she has been so careful around me".
"So, think about it again", Younghoon stood up towering his brother, hands pocketed. "You're proud of yourself when others fear you but you hate it when she's being careful. What's that means?"
The boy blinked every so slightly as he deciphered every words he heard. It was not that hard to digest actually but the ego in him had been the barrier.
And this time, he had decided to throw it away.
Getting off the bed, he grabbed his phone and the journal, glancing at himself in the mirror. Black tee and a pair of jeans, what was wrong about them?
He looked gorgeous - he thought so.
"Kim Sunwoo", Younghoon called before the boy could leave the room. The brothers smiled to each other, a smile that was full with meaning and no need to be translated into words. "Good luck".
