"My parents had been summoned to the hospital. I think, it wasn't really good. I'm talking about me".
What Sunwoo was told about had been living in his head for a week now since their last date. He could see how devastated Haeun was, he could say that she was masking herself in front of him.
Because she knew, Sunwoo hated to talk about the worst.
He did not say anything about it afterwards. He pretended like he had never heard any of this bad news, nonetheless he was scared as well.
He did not prepare himself for a goodbye.
Sunwoo stared deep into his locker, not sure what he was looking at specifically. Maybe at a picture of him and Haeun which he stuck it somewhere in there or only the books he had grown fond with.
But then he was sighing.
"That sounds heavy", Sunwoo was then approached by a voice that never failed making his eyes rolled.
The demeanor leaned against the other locker next to his, arms crossed.
Much to Sunwoo's desire to slam his locker shut, he held the intention and instead pushing it closed lightly in which it end with a click.
He then looked at Bomin with fake amusement, "you sound like you know everything about me".
"Of course I am", proudly the other boy shrugged. "I am the only one who talk to you in the team".
Scoffing, Sunwoo was offended. It really felt like an insult though Bomin made it sound so casually.
"If that's the case, how about you find someone else. Maybe a girl because my space and time are only for my girlfriend", Sunwoo rapped in a breath in which a sigh was then heard escaping the latter's lips.
"That's...... a brilliant way to point out my status as a single", Bomin rolled his eyes in annoyance. "No need to do that though".
A small chuckle then erupted as Sunwoo scratched his straight eyebrow with his pinky finger. Indeed, he still got his power to shut someone up.
It was then, Bomin stood up straight, glancing over Sunwoo's shoulder. His gaze found another boy from the end of the hallway, frantically running like he was on a competition. It took Bomin quite some times to figure out the identity since the gap was quite big but lucky he had a good eyesight.
"Your friend is coming", he told Sunwoo, chinning towards the direction.
Sunwoo turned on his heels, just to have his face scrunched up at the sight of Eric's figure getting bigger in view.
"He loves running", he mumbled underneath his breath, very sure that it was inaudible for other people to hear.
"Kim Sunwoo!" Eric screamed though the said boy was right in front of him. He never continued as he bent forward, busily panting. Either the oxygen was really lacking around him or he really did not fit to be a sport kids. And Sunwoo was sure that Eric was the second.
"Do I have to wait for another hour until you catch up your breath?" Sunwoo savagely said, crossing his arms as he looked down at his friend like how his coach would do during their training.
Eric groaned as he stood up straight, breathing in a big amount of air for one last time.
"It's about Haeun".
Sunwoo's face instantly losing its color, his breath hitched as well upon hearing his girlfriend's name. He should have known when Eric came running, he was not in a joke mode.
"W-What about her?" Sunwoo swallowed, a part of him did wish that he did not ask that. He was not sure whether he could handle the misery in his small head if Eric tell him about something bad.
