Days passed and Haeun eventually found out that Sunwoo's love language was act of service.
Since the day 1 they made it official, Sunwoo had been waiting for her arrival to school which was always Eric's routine, just to walk with her into the building.
Not only that, knowing how clumsy she could be sometimes, he had proven that he was good in catching, securing her in his arms everytime she was tripping.
He also would make sure that she took her medication correctly. Every so often he would be checking her heart rate just to make sure that everything was under control.
Some more, Sunwoo embodied a fictional character by going to her after school everytime she was hospitalized. He could have even ditched school for her, but he did not, because he want to jot down notes for Haeun to study later.
At least he had a good improvement.
However, Haeun was still having a difficulty to adapting this new view she was seeing every breaks between classes.
The normal Sunwoo would be sleeping or rarely in class but here he was, studying. And today he had chosen maths.
His attention on the numbers written down was too strong, his fingers swiftly moved across the calculator, smiling alone as he finally got the answer. He was too engrossed that he did not realize that Haeun was looking at him.
Though she laid her head on her arm that was placed on the table, she could clearly see his focus eyes skimming the book. The voices in her head which constantly questioning what had happened to him was more louder than the music she was listening to through the earpods.
And that was when Kim Haeun decided to kill the curiosity.
"Sunwoo."
"Gosh!" flinching hard, Sunwoo could sense that his soul almost leave his body. "How long have you been awake? I thought you're sleeping."
"Long enough to notice the wrinkles on your forehead", she replied teasingly, fixing her bang as she sat up straight. "What's going on? You've never studied".
Her question was on the second place of his priority. The first one was when Sunwoo reached for her hair, combing the part that was sticking out.
"Whilst jotting down notes for you, I've found interests in study and..." he trailed off, hesitancy was clouding over him.
"And?" Haeun wore the worried expression, taking off her earpods, to attentively listening.
"To make myself deserve you", shrugging, his eyes seemed droopy. "People keep talking about a dumb kid like me shouldn't have dated a genius like you".
It was then Haeun felt her heart wrench but happy at the same time. The part which he improvised himself for her, a bit had made her overwhelm but she totally dislike the part where he was downgrading himself.
"Who is people?" her brows knitted together as she asked, her face scrunched up as well. "I don't know anyone named people. I only know Eric, Jia, Sunwoo and Kim Sunwoooooo".
She playfully said his name at the end, earning an airy chuckle from the boy himself. To say Sunwoo did not notice that she was trying to enlighten the mood absolutely a lie. Of course he saw that.
"So Sunwoo, let's ignore that person named people", she disgustingly added. "I think he or she is just a noisy fly".
"Kim Haeun, you're really something", a smile broadening on his face whilst he admitting his defeat.
He came to a realization that Haeun had turned everything he thought impossible to opposite. With her, he felt perfect. She would make sure that he was perfect.
