"So you two are getting back together".
Jia tried to process whatever she was told about which had happened behind her back. She simply thought that Haeun's love story would be a bestseller book if she write it down. It was full with drama - attractive drama.
It was amusing how both of them would find their way back no matter how big the crack that had separated them, or how the darkness had swallowed them down, they would always find each other back.
Nonetheless Jia was being Jia, she won't let Haeun see the amusement on her face.
"Sunwoo, he..." Haeun trailed, squinting her eyes as she searched for a better word to describe her boyfriend. "Has changed..?"
At that, Jia scooted closer to the girl by the railing of the rooftop, slightly shaking her arm.
"Spill!" she batted her long lashes furiously, this time she was truly invested in the story. "There is no way I will let you leave without the full story".
"Calm down", Haeun shook her head, turning her body so that she could lean against the railing.
The clear sky with fluffy clouds hanging here and there strangely had given her a flashback to that certain day.
The day which Sunwoo had described her as the clouds whilst he was the sun. Nonetheless, it was still ironic how they'd gotten back together in the rain where both sun and clouds were unseen.
"I don't know if it's only me but.." she crossed her arms as she watched some birds flying around. "He's getting better in expressing his feeling. I like that".
For Haeun, she thought maybe, just maybe Sunwoo did not want to live his life later in misery and regret. Maybe he refused to let her leave the world without being showered with enough love.
Or maybe she was just rambling.
"And you better enjoy it while it lasts", Jia added, copying her posture. "Don't be too stressed out of the future. It's something unpredictable".
"Maybe you're right", Haeun pondered towards the sky. How she wished she could have foreseen the future.
How easy life would be that way.
The two eventually left the rooftop because obviously none would want to be late for classes.
Reaching the floor, it was then Haeun was called by a familiar voice from a distance. The deep yet loud voice surely did not spark any curiosity, Haeun could recognize it even without looking.
Sunwoo jogged through the hallway, creating beeline in order to avoid other students who were loitering with a silly expression on his face. Seemed like he had turned crazy just by looking at her silhouette.
And he indeed was crazy for her.
"I understand what do you mean by 'he's changed'", Jia whispered into Haeun's ear, slightly amazed with this side of Kim Sunwoo that nobody had seen before.
It was then, Sunwoo accidentally bumped into a boy who suddenly got into his way. Both of them fell onto the floor accompanied by an awkward silent erupted. Nothing was heard except for the groan from Sunwoo's mouth.
Everyone was aware of what Kim Sunwoo had done everytime this kind of encounter happened. Maybe that was why everyone was holding their breaths now, some were concerned for the boy's fate for messing with a wrong person.
And for the first time since forever, Haeun seemed to forget about the old Sunwoo who was known for his violent character. She could not resist herself from swallow the lump made of fear in her throat.
