"I mean, who does Haeun think she is to play with Kim Sunwoo like that?"

"She really thought she is the main character, doesn't she? She really thought she can control Sunwoo like that?"

Haeun leaned against the tall bookshelf in one of the aisles in the library, shutting her eyes closed as she tried to ignore the words thrown on her from the next aisle.

Those girls might have not known that Haeun was in the same radius as them. Her heart couldn't be helped from shattering into pieces in every words entering her ears.

Never once she felt so helpless like this, felt so small and hurt just because of meaningless words that were only an assumption. She could have fought them back, defending herself that those words were not true but she did not.

For she thought at once they were right.

So that was how they viewed her - a girl who just wanted to play with Kim Sunwoo.

"Don't tell me you take those rambles into heart?"

Haeun was about to scream by the sudden approach. However her head was working fast to recall the place she was in. So she managed to swallow the scream, covering her mouth with her palm.

"I almost had a heart attack", she rolled her head towards the direction, spotting Sunwoo leaning sideways against the shelf, looking down at her with a tight face.

"Don't listen to them", Sunwoo said in a low tone, touching her fringe lovingly. "They don't know the truth. They don't know that I'm the one who's gone crazy for you".

Haeun managed to laugh silently, a sight that never failed making Sunwoo melt. He would rather pay for a big sum just to see this loving sight.

"Can we leave? It's so uncomfortable here", she voiced out, already felt stuffy to be in the same area as the people who talked ill about her.

Despite it was her own idea to study together with Sunwoo in the library, she could not resist herself from being so fragile. Being away from a toxic environment was a priority.

The two obviously could have gone straight from their last position to reach the entrance but Sunwoo seemed to have a different idea. Grasping her hand, he dragged her to make a round to the next aisle, going past those girls.

"Excuse me, you guys are blocking the way", he smiled at them with a hint of sarcasm lacing. He was satisfied when he noticed the increasing size of their eyeballs upon spotting Haeun behind him.

Those girls eventually backed away, giving the space for the couple to pass by.

"Thanks", he said, still holding tight of Haeun's hand. "Oh by the way..."

He halted right in front of them, Haeun swore she could read his mind and it was not very good.

"Sunwoo, let's go", she shook their intertwined hands, signalling him to keep moving but to no avail, Sunwoo did not care.

"I'm sorry girls that it could never be you", he spat sarcastically with that sly smirk on his face. "If you're dying to have someone like me as a boyfriend, I'd suggest you to find someone else if it's possible. Because.... you know someone like me is limited and Haeun has booked me for her entire life".

Haeun bit her lips to stop the twitching. She was screaming internally by the smart remark her boyfriend did.

Savage.

"Bold of you to assume that they want you", Haeun nudged him as they approached the door, Kim Sunwoo was still wearing that proud smirk on his face.

"It's true though", he glanced over the girls for one last time. "The only reason why they mess up with my girlfriend is because they're jealous. I mean you've won against them and the prize is me".
