Reggae music blares through the house as I lay in bed. Matteo has been working since five in the morning and has managers to convince Aleksei to kill his father for him even if it means that he has to become the new head of the Sodorov family.

I needed to shower but my legs went completely numb in the middle of the night. I'm not risking trying to walk right now. My phone has also been blowing up but I haven't checked it. I know it's just Grace telling me how her night went.

"Best friend!" Grace yells as she barges into the room.

She kicks the door closed before climbing into the bed with her pint of ice cream. I look at her as she shoves a mound of ice cream into her mouth. The night must have gone well.

"He rocked my world," she whispers. "I'm surprised I'm even walking at this point."

"Oh," I murmur.

"Did your legs stop working again?" She asks.

"Yes." I reply.

"How did it go with Matteo last night?" She asks.

"We talked the majority of the night before I fell asleep. They were deep conversations," I reply. "It was much needed."

"Is he leaving tonight or tomorrow?" Grace asks.

"Tomorrow morning," I reply. "He said something about me and him going on a date."

She smiles. She's supportive no matter what my decision about him is. She wants nothing but the best for me and my baby.

"I'll throw out some ideas to him if I see him," she replies. "Did he say when we could go home?"

"Not anytime soon," I reply.

"Oh," she murmurs. "I don't know if Aleksei and I will see each other again."

"What do you mean?" I ask.

"He left for the States this morning. He left a note on my nightstand," she replies. "It wasn't very detailed."

I sigh. These men suck at communicating. A note is not sufficient enough. I want to hear the words come out of their mouths. I can tell if they are lying or not.

"Sounds like something Matteo would do," I reply.

"What did he say about you being pregnant?" She asks.

"He asked a lot of questions. I couldn't answer most of them," I reply.

"Good," she mutters.

"I heard you punched him in the nose," I reply.

"He deserved it," she replies as she shrugs. "I was giving the best head of my life."

"I have a question and I want you to be as honest as you can," I begin. "Did Aleksei holding you a gunpoint turn you on?"

"Yes, but it also scared me," she replies.

Matteo busts through the door. We stare at him as he stares at us. He's like one of those kids that stand in their parent's bed at three in the morning. Grace shoots me a side-eye.

"Yes, Matteo?" I ask.

"Why did the Wi-Fi go down?" He asks.

"How would I know? I'm not on my phone," I reply. "Go reset it and see if that works."
