TW: Rain puking on the floor

~

Rain couldn't feel his own body as he opened his eyes. Everything felt miserable. The only thing keeping him intact with the world was the steadying rise and fall of his chest. His mouth was dry. No matter what he did, he couldn't bring saliva into his mouth. He wanted to move and go get a drink, but his body tied him to the bed. His closed his eyes, the icky feeling of his body overheating and a thin layer of sweat. His head hurt and his stomach was doing flip-flops. Why did he feel like this. The water ghoul pondered over the night before. Everyone took him and the other new ghoul, Swiss, out to get drinks. Rain remembers the first few swallows of alcohol, remembering the horrid stinging at the back of his throat and down into his stomach. Rain's eyes flew back open, his body willing itself to sit up and hang off the bed as the sour liquid filled his mouth. He vomited on the floor, his eyes shut as 2 tears rolled down his cheeks. Gag after gag, his stomach emptying and still gagging with nothing else coming up. Finally he relaxed and sunk back into his pillows, not trying to cover the sobs spewing from his mouth. He surely must have been dying. Did he spit out his insides? His brain? His body shook as he cried, going back into an unmoving state. He finally opened his eyes, hearing his door open.

"Rain?" It was Cirrus.

"Smells like he puked his guts up." Sodo said with a disgusted face. Rain closed his eyes again, seeing Cirrus walk around his bed.

"He did. I'll clean it up while you check on him." She said, quickly hurrying into Rain's bathroom.

"Hey bud. I guess that drinking didn't do you well last night, huh?" Sodo said softly as he sat down beside Rain. Rain only sniffled, staring up at Sodo with dull blue eyes. Cirrus came out of Rain's bathroom with a bucket of water and a rag.

"Thirsty?" Sodo asked, grabbing a cup of water off Rain's nightstand. Rain looked at it, not sure if it made him even more dehydrated or nauseous to look at it.

"Am I dying?" Rain asked, making Cirrus chuckle she cleaned up the mess on Rain's floor.

"No baby. The alcohol got to you and made you dehydrated and irritated your stomch, there for you brought the alcohol back up. You'll be okay." Cirrus said, running a soothing hand through Rain's hair.

"I feel so dry. Everywhere." Rain whimpered, closing his eyes again.

"Let's get him in the tub." Sodo said, moving off of Rain's bed and quickly walking into the bathroom, turning the tab on in Rain's large tub.

"I'll go get him some crackers." Cirrus said as Sodo came back in and gathered Rain's limp and tired body in his arms.

"Okay, thanks." Sodo said before carrying Rain into the bathroom. He stripped Rain of his boxers before lowering him into the filling tub. Rain closed his eyes again, his body coming back alive inside the tub. Cirrus returned seconds later with some crackers, seeing Rain's pale body regaining some color.

"Drink this." Cirrus said, holding a bottle full of blue liquid to his lips.

"What is it?" He mumbled, looking down wearily at it.

"Blue raspberry Pedialyte." Cirrus said, forcing Rain to open up and slowly poured the cool liquid into his mouth. He took small swallows, feeling relief as his stomach accept the liquid.

"There you go, good boy." Sodo cooed, turning the water off now that it was up to Rain's shoulders. Cirrus opened the bag of crackers and put one to Rain's mouth. He took it chewed slowly, unwilling to swallow the solid food. He finally did and looked up at Cirrus, a silent plea for more as his hunger started to set in. Rain's pale face returned to normal, but his body was still extremely exhausted.

"Don't worry, you'll be back to normal by tomorrow." Sodo said with a soothing touch, Rain softly nodding.

"Do you want to stay in the tub all day?" Cirrus asked, watching Rain nod. "I'll make sure to bring him some snacks and keep getting the fluids into him." Cirrus said, standing up. Sodo nodded, leaning against the tub comfortingly.

"Next time, I'll get Aether to make sure you don't get plastered." Sodo chuckled, making Rain smile.

"That'd be nice." He yawned, allowing the water to put him into a sleeping state.
