My eye blinked open and upon waking up, I jolted upwards since I could see everything now. It was all so clear and there were so much I could see. Such as where machines, animals, and salvage were. Reaching up, I ran my fingers across my left eye, feeling that there was something metal there. I stood up and rushed over to a puddle of water that was nearby. Staring back at me was my reflection and the Slaughterspine eye that was now fully connected to my left eye.

Looking down at my body, the metal armor that I had was removed, even the spines I had on my back as protection. I was fully exposed with the armor I had obtained from the Forbidden West. It wasn't anything like the armor I wanted right now.

"You're up," I heard a voice.

Turning to my left, Lis was standing before me.

"Lis," I whispered, about to walk over to her, but I bumped into something that wasn't there. Placing my hand on the force field in front of me, I tried to push my way through it.

"I wouldn't try it, mother," Lis said.

"Y-You're alright."

"I am. But mom isn't."

"Where is Aloy?" I started to growl.

"Right here," Aloy walked beside Lis.

"ALOY!" I yelled, trying to ram into the force field.

"Save your energy, Y/N. But it's not like you're going to need it being stuck in there."

"Why the hell am I in here?" I asked.

"We need to figure some things out," Aloy said.

"Being?"

"We know Londra brainwashed you."

"Call it what you will," I said.

"He actually did brainwash you," Lis said.

Aloy tapped her Focus and a hologram of her, Seyka, and Lis appeared, talking to Nova. Aloy had asked the question if I was subjected to brainwashing. After Nova replied, the hologram was cut off.

"That's fake."

"The Focus does not lie, Y/N, and you know that."

"Then how come I don't have that information?"

"Because you weren't there when we got that information. What was the last thing you remember before Londra started to brainwash you?"

"I-I was getting beat up physically first. Then he started to break me. He said something about the mind being strong yet delicate."

"That's because it is," Aloy said. "Look, Y/N, we want to do everything we can to help you break out of this."

"You can't, Aloy," I said and walked over to the corner of the room I was in.

I sat down and pulled my legs into my chest, my arms wrapping around them, "You might as well just kill me. I'm not going to get any better."

Aloy walked over to the force field and was about to walk through it, but Lis grabbed her wrist.

"Mom."

"It's ok. I'm going to try something."

She walked through the force field and stood a good few feet from me.

"How come you can get in here?"

"It's based on genetic code. Once it reads my code, it will allow me both entrance and exit. When it reads yours, it won't let you out."

"That's pretty smart, actually," I said.

"Y/N, can I show you something?"

"I guess," I sighed.
