"What is on the agenda today?" Peri asked after finally getting herself back to homeostasis.
"You are going to rest. Then we are going to pack up before the concert. We'll be leaving after the show," Hobi told her.
"Today is our last day, and you want me to rest? I can't rest now. Jin and I have to go to the Le Marché de Belleville. You said we could go before we left." Peri stated.
"Peri, we can go another time. It will still be here when we come back," Jin announced.
"I know it will be here, but the summertime is the best time to go! This is the time when everything is in season. They'll have the freshest produce there. French bread that has been made today. Fresh fish caught this morning," Peri argued.
"Do you even like fish?" Jin asked.
"Not by the smell of it, I don't."
'Peri doesn't like fish, noted,' he thought.
"No. It would be best if you rested, Peri," Jin pleaded.
"I'm not tired. I got plenty of rest last night, despite the nightmare. Jin, think of all the samples of food we could eat from around the world! Have you ever had Moroccan food? What about food from Brazil? Thailand? Don't answer that last one."
"She's making me want to go," Jungkook piped up.
"Kookie wants to go too! Come on! Two hours!" Peri whined.
"No."
"One hour."
"No. We have the concert tonight, and you said you wanted to go. I don't want you all worn out before then."
"I am going to be backstage or sitting somewhere off to the side; I don't know. I haven't really thought about it. Either way, I am not going to be the one singing and dancing all over the place. I will have plenty of time to rest! Jin, you always tell me I argue with you all the time. Then got annoyed when I compromised with Jimin. I am trying to compromise with you now!" Peri begged.
"Ten minutes." Jin was starting negotiation at the lowest point.
Peri would need to come up with something more logical to raise the time. "By my calculation, we will need 45 minutes to check out all the booths, spending approximately 1.5 minutes at each booth, a total of 30 booths for this visit. Now, there will be the need for an additional 15 minutes for inconsequential things such as paying for the items, haggling, or picking out non-bruised peaches and nectarines. Then, of course, there is the travel time. You are looking at 10 minutes by car back and forth, which is 20 minutes. Or we can walk there, which will take 30 minutes, a total of 60 minutes. As I stated previously, it will be a max of 2 hours or a minimum of 1." she huffed out a breath when she finished her mathematical standpoint expeditiously. Everyone looked at her in disbelief that she was able to rattle off numbers that fast.
"I think she broke him," Jimin whispered to Tae.
"I think she broke us all," Tae replied.
"You are as stubborn as Jungkookie. You know that." Jin huffed.
"I remind you of Kookie?" Peri cocked her head in confusion, not knowing where this was coming from or how it pertained to them leaving for the market.
"You are stubborn like Jungkook. Smart as Namjoon. Empathetic like Jimin," Jin began.
"You and Hobi-ah have the same smile and are both altruistic," Namjoon added.
"Peri and Yoongi have the same sarcastic humor," Jimin noted.
"She takes care of us like Jin," Tae continued. "What about me? What do Peri and I share?" he asked, excited to hear the answer.
