In the dark

Peri woke up groggier than usual. The night before had been quite eventful. Between Jungkook's accident and Peri facing her fear, it had taken a lot out of her. Or in her? Peri didn't understand how exactly the whole "Taking away Jungkook's pain" had worked. What she did feel, though, was zapped.

Peri had watched the boys from the side of the stage all night. She kept a big smile on her face as she watched the performance. The boys even added some impromptu moves as they tried to incorporate Jungkook in any way they could. Whenever the members could, they walked over to JK to sing and dance around him. Her favorite moment came from Jin, who ceremoniously stood directly in from of Jungkook and started hip-thrusting and throwing his hands in the air, nearly causing another accident by almost smacking Jimin in the face with his microphone. Peri and Jungkook couldn't contain their laughter when they saw him do his little dance move. 

By the time all of them had gathered back into the van, Peri could feel the exhaustion taking back over. She tried to keep herself awake long enough to make it back to the hotel, but alast, she fell asleep on Hobi's shoulder. 

She couldn't tell you how she managed to get in the bed. There were little flashes of Jungkook's profile, Jin's pajama top, the feeling of kisses to her temple, and an arm slung around her waist. However, when Peri woke up in the morning, the only person in her bed was herself. Peri rubbed her face and gave light taps to her cheeks to wake herself up. She stretched out her muscles and made a b-line for the bathroom as part of her morning ritual before heading out to grab some breakfast. 

When she walked out of her room, it was quiet, eerily quiet. When the seven of them were around, there was some sort of buzzing going around. Someone yelling to stop hogging the bathroom, another person blaring the television with a show, game, or music video. The kitchen would host most of the guys as they made breakfast, snacks, a second breakfast, or making a drink of some sort. There wasn't anyone around this morning. Peri thought there might be a message on her phone and would check it later after making herself a plate. 

Peri arrived in the kitchen to find silver domed plates waiting for her on the counter. She grabbed a plate from the counter and started to assemble her breakfast. She sat down on the counter and enjoyed her fresh fruit, eggs, and English tea. Peri would peek around the corner when she heard something but chalk it up to people rummaging around the hotel floor. 

She finished up her breakfast, cleaned up, and made her way back to her bedroom to get ready for the day. Before she hopped back into the bathroom, Peri checked her messages.

[Group Chat:]

Hobi: Hey, Sleeping Beauty! We're off to rehearsals.

Tae: Hobi-hyung is right. You're so pretty when you sleep.

Jimin: We miss you, Peri!

Namjoon: Call or text when you wake up

Jin: Food on the counter

Yoongi: Stop pestering the girl and let her sleep. They are right, though. You're beautiful. We miss you. Get rest!

- Good Morning! I rested and ate. Have fun at rehearsals. Miss you back! I can't wait to see your handsome faces later.

Jin: Good Afternoon

Jimin: I thought Yoongi-hyung could sleep forever. 😴

Yoongi: You're one to talk. 

Jimin: 😾

Peri diverted her eyes to the top of the screen and saw the time. Her eyes bulged when she realized how long she had slept for. Half of the day had already come and gone while she was asleep. Worst of all, she missed an opportunity to go sightseeing with her boys because she had overslept. She hadn't really gotten a chance to cover a lot of ground in London, and she still needed to get her hands on some of the local food before they left. She was looking forward to spending time with Yoongi at a pub eating fish and chips.
