Yoongi fluttered his eyes open and looked up to see the morning light beaming directly into his eyes like a million-watt flashlight. "It's far too early for this shit," he grumbled. He turned over to his side and closed his eyes again. He couldn't for the life of him figure out why he was waking up this early in the morning.
A sweet-smelling aroma drifted into his nose, causing him to breathe a little deeper. Something delicious tasting coming from the kitchen is what is waking him up. 'What in the world is Jin doing up this early?' he thought to himself. Yoongi could take a wild hunch and say that it would not be too long before someone or someone would come barging into his room and tell him that breakfast was ready. Yoongi mumbled curses as he raised his body and planted his feet on the floor. "Might as well be now," he said with a deep yawn.
Yoongi stepped out into the living room, and his eyes immediately darted over to the beautiful woman sleeping peacefully on the couch. A lop-sided grin appeared on his face. "Looks like someone decided to come out of their cave." Yoongi looked around and noticed that no one else seemed to be awake.
Yoongi shuffled his way toward the kitchen but kept his eyes trained on Peri, ensuring he didn't do anything that would wake her. Poor little bird looks like she hadn't slept all night. Yoongi saw the silver-wrapped plate resting on the table and gently lifted the foil to take a peak. His nose was introduced to the food before his eyes were- pancakes. "So you're the culprit," he whispered. His smile grew three times the size when he looked over at her. Peri was going all out for Jungkookie's birthday. She was going to make sure he had a memorable day, starting the day off with a sweet treat.
Walking over to where she was sleeping, he decided to put his nickname to good use for once. Although, he would deny it if anyone said anything about it. He stealthfully crawled his way toward Peri, watching carefully for any movements with sharp eyes. That was the easy part. He placed one arm above her body, holding onto the top of the couch and the other by her side. Yoongi took a deep breath. Now, here comes the hard part. Turning his pelvis down first, he wiggled his body between the back of the couch and where Peri slept. Next came his torso, following the same pattern.
Peri grumbled when she felt her body moving unnecessarily. "I know, I know," Yoongi used a soothing tone as he twisted into his final position. His entire backside was pressed against the couch, and his shoulder was straining as he held it above his normal range of motion. But Peri was curled up onto his chest, nearly undisturbed. He blew out the breath he was holding in relief before curling his arms around her and resting his head next to hers. Yoongi closed his eyes again. This is why he got up so early—for a moment, cuddled up next to Peri on the couch.
"You smell like cherries and whiskey," Peri mumbled in her sleep. She rouched her nose deeper into his chest, filling the air in her lungs with only the scent of Yoongi. His only response was to pull her closer. She could have all the sniffs if she wanted to.
The apartment was silent, but only momentarily before another member emerged from their room. Jin did the same thing Yoongi had done earlier. He walked into the kitchen and peeked at the pancakes. He turned his head to the pair on the couch, looking directly at Yoongi for permission to eat. Yoongi pointed his finger above Peri's head, signaling the pancakes were her doing. "Aish!" Jin whispered shouted. Yoongi shushed him quickly. Jin may be the oldest, but Yoongi was ready to scold him if he woke Peri up.
"What time did she wake up?" Jin whispered.
"I don't think she slept," Yoongi replied.
Jin rolled his eyes. He would rather Peri take care of her health than stay up all night. "We'll make sure she naps later." The rest of the members started to wake up and come into the main part of the apartment. One after the other, each was told to keep quiet and let Peri sleep.
