Peri awoke from her slumber with her usual cat-like stretch. She uncurled her body, then stretched each limb one at a time and arched her back. Peri blinked her eyes open and looked at the man lying on the bed next to her. She smiled as she removed the sandman's remanence from her eyes. Hobi was a dancer, after all, but seeing his body all twisted was something unexpected.
His shirt had spiraled up, and his stomach was exposed to the room air. She pondered as she looked him over whether reaching out and running her fingers down the ripples of his abdominal muscles would be ok. However, it was the first time she had slept in the bed beside him. Yes, she had fallen asleep with him before, but it was usually in a group dog pile with limbs crossing over each other. Last night was the first. She didn't know how heavy of a sleeper he was, but she did know he would scare easily. 'It wouldn't be the nicest way to be woken up,' Peri thought, keeping her hands to herself.
Honestly, Peri didn't even know how it happened. She remembered seeing the outside of the hotel when they arrived. It was a beautiful, tall structure with red and white bricks running up the building in an almost striped pattern. Big, double-panned, black windows filled the space, and at the top of the hotel were pointed tops that made the hotel appear larger. It was a perfect representation of what Peri had envisioned in her mind as a London hotel. But once she got inside the room, she flopped on the bed, and it was lights out for Peri.
As Peri shuffled her way off the bed, she could see the room now. It had high-vaulted ceilings with black wooden beams drawing the eye upwards. The cream-colored walls kept the room light and airy against the wood paneling. The hotel still had the old-time English feeling with modern touches.
When Peri came out of the bedroom, her walk seemed to take a few extra steps. She passed by other doors that led to something she hadn't seen yet before she reached the living room. The room took up most of the space within the hotel. On one wall was a built-in dark wooden entertainment center, and the opposing wall was the fireplace, complete with a historical picture of the River Thames, which was where the hotel was built against. A large white area rug, two red reading chairs, and two spacious navy blue couches were in the center.
Peri continued to the other side of the hotel room when she landed in the kitchen. The full-blown kitchen is equipped with everything a Michelin-star chef could ever dream about. A broad-shoulder man was leaning up against the counter that was also broad enough to fit three chairs for a dining place.
"I always find you here first thing in the morning. Don't you ever sleep in?" Peri asked as she took a seat in one of the chairs.
Jin rounded the counter and set a cup and silver dome plate next to her. "Good morning to you, too," he replied and leaned in to give her a small kiss on the lips. Peri took hold of his shirt by the collar and pulled him back for another kiss. She gave him a smile before going for another. "I like it when you smile after I kiss you so sweetly." Peri only smiled and kissed him more. Jin pulled back and rounded the counter again. "You need to eat."
"I was until you walked away," she told him with a hint of flirtation in her voice.
Jin turned a bright shade of red and began to laugh, covering his face with shyness. "Here is your English tea and breakfast as requested," he told her once he regained his composure. Jin poured her a cup of tea from the pot and lifted the lid.
"Whoa," Peri said. The plate was filled to the brim with hot food, ready to dive into. There were sauteed mushrooms and tomatoes, ham, bacon, sausage patty, two sunny-side-up eggs, baked beans, and toast. "I now understand why Henry the Eighth was so fat!" she exclaimed. "This is huge!"
"Are you going to finish all that?" Yoongi asked as he came into the kitchen. He was always the second person awake, which meant the others would be following after him shortly.
