In the dark

Peri tried to shake the wide grin that was on her face but couldn't. Every time she would wiggle her mouth around to relax her jaw and mouth, her smile would appear in an instant. She straightened herself out, smoothly out her clothes until they were back to laying flat against her body. She picked up all the pillows and cushions thrown around the main area and placed them back on the couch. Peri giggled and blushed like a schoolgirl when she looked at the pillows.

Peri walked back to the bedroom and grabbed her sunglasses. She slipped her sandals onto her feet and walked out of the apartment. If she stayed there any longer, she would end up flopping on the freshly made couch and start daydreaming about her and Jungkook's little moment. Big moment, actually. She got to experience something she never thought she would ever get a chance to do, and she got to have her first kiss with someone she liked and cared for. Peri couldn't have gotten any luckier than with Jungkook. He was thoughtful and considerate. He was sweet and kind. Jungkook could make her laugh and astonish her with his talents. Jungkook was hardworking, determined, and he could kiss!

Peri had to bite her hand to bring herself back down. If she didn't find something to ground her, or she was going to float up to the heavens and stay there. Peri had no idea how she was going to concentrate at the library when she could still feel the tingle of his lips on hers. 

Back at HYBE, Jungkook came busting threw the door. As soon as he parked the car, he sprinted back through HYBE and into the photo shoot. He didn't stop until he hit the dressing room and started tearing his street clothes off in exchange for clothes that were provided for him through the promotion. 

"I'm sorry. It's all my fault!" he hollered into the room with a toothy smile. 

"You're late," scolded Leader-Hyung Namjoon. He was at work, which meant he had to take his role and do the job he was assigned to. "Where were you?"

"I stopped at the apartment to see Peri," Jungkook ducked his head down to hide his blushing face. He knew he, too, had to switch modes, but the feeling of her smooth skin remained on the tips of his fingers.

"Peri? I thought she was going to the library today?" Hobi asked, confused.

"She was...is. She is going to the library. I caught her as she was about to walk out."

"Why are you smiling so much?" Yoongi asked. He had been observing his young brother the moment he rushed in through the dressing room. That shy smile of his never left his face. The rest of the boys turned their eyes over to JK and were watching him too. 

"No reason." Jungkook's smile grew even brighter. He was going to get caught if he didn't stop himself. JK knew he would be teased relentlessly if he confessed their kiss- her first kiss. A kiss that meant something to not only Peri but him as well. "We just hung out. It was really good," he said, letting out a breath. He shook his head and did a few small jumps to put his mind back into work mode. 

"Something happened! You don't smile like that for just hanging out with Peri!" Tae was starting the tease.

"Speak for yourself! I am a smiling fool whenever I get around her!" Jimin quipped. 

"I just gave her something," his answer having a double meaning. "I gave her a gift, that's all."

"Awww," Jimin, Tae, and Hobi cooed. They thought that because he was shy, he would want to give her the gift in private. The smile creeping back up his lips was the evidence they needed to be convinced.

"Don't lie to me!" Jin was not buying it. "I know you! I raised you! I know all your tells. That big bunny smile of yours gives you away!" Jungkook's face turned crimson, and he began giggling uncontrollably.
