Thor helps Loki to his feet and puts his brother's arm over his shoulder to keep him standing. There is evident exhaustion illustrated on Loki's face. Thor didn't want to think about what his brother has been through, what he is still going through. But with Loki's eyes still not being their normal shade of emerald green he can't help but worry about him.

Thor calls Mjolnir to his hand and turns towards the broken window. But before he can even think about taking off the elevator door opens with most of the Avengers in it. As they exit the elevator, Hulk jumps through another window shattering it into pieces.

Thor looks around at all of them. Black Widow is holding tightly onto Loki's scepter. Tony is still in his suit which has dents and scratches all over it. Steve stands in between both of them with his shield in hand. Hawkeye laces his last arrow as soon as he sees Loki. And Hulk just stands separate from everyone else with not even a scratch on him.

"You can lower your bow, Hawkeye." Thor says with a glare.

Hawkeye tightens his grip on his bow. "He has killed people and had me under mind control for days-"

"And he shall stand trial for that back on Asgard."

"On Asgard?" Steve asks in disbelief.

"It'll be safer that way," Thor explains, "he could easily escape from the cells here, but not on Asgard."

"Alright, take him." Tony says while glaring towards Loki, "But the scepter stays."

Thor's first instinct is to argue, but for the sake of Loki he just nods. "I will take the tesseract and Loki back to Asgard."

They all nod in agreement, except Hulk. Then Thor walks to the broken window with Loki taking small steps beside him.

"Thor," Steve says which make Thor glance at him, "if there's a way, tell us how his trial goes."

Thor just nods once again, then swings Mjolnir above his head and flies out the window and to the roof of Stark Tower.

Thor cautiously removes Loki's arm from his shoulders and makes sure he can stand on his own before moving to grab the tesseract.

"I'm to stand trial?" Loki asks as he slightly sways.

Thor grabs a case from the corner of the roof as he says; "I don't actually know." Thor quickly places the tesseract into the case and closes it shut. "I just want to take you home."

"Won't be much of a home if I'm thrown in a cell." Loki says with a huff as Thor walks back toward him.

"Mother won't let that happen-"

"But you would?"

Thor stops a couple of steps in front from Loki. "No."

Loki slightly smiles while Thor holds him closely again as the Bifrost surrounds them.

"Welcome back my princes." Heimdall says with a bow. Thor just nods then uses Mjolnir to flies both him and Loki to the palace.

Thor and Loki land just outside of the palace doors. As soon as their feet touch the ground the doors open.

Frigga rushes out; "Loki!" There are tears streaming down her cheeks as she hugs both of them. She looks Loki up and down and kisses him on the head. "Let's take him to his room." Frigga puts Loki's other arm over her shoulders, helping steady him as they all walk.

They walk through the whole palace until they get to the South West corner where both Thor and Loki's bedrooms reside. Thor kicks open Loki's room door then picks him up bridal style and carries Loki to his bed.

As soon as Loki is on the bed Frigga presses her hand to his forehead. But no sooner than she placed it she pulls it away.

"What is it?" Thor asks, his voice laced with worry.

Frigga places a soothing smile on her face as she says; "Let us leave him to rest-"

"I'm not leaving him." Thor bluntly says.

"Okay," Frigga smiles once more, "well, I'm going to go speak to your father. I'll be back after while." She leans down and lightly kisses Loki's forehead.

Frigga takes the case that has the tesseract in it from Thor then leaves the room. As the door closes, Thor walks to the black couch at the side of Loki's bedroom and sits. He drops Mjolnir to the ground and leans back on the couch.

"You don't have to stay, Thor." Loki says as he rolls to his side to face his brother.

Thor sits back up as he asks; "Would you rather me leave?"

"No, I just-"

"Then shut up about it." Thor huffs.
