Thor stays on Loki's couch the rest of the day. He had slumped over on the couch at some point as he dozed off. But he sits up straight as he's startled awake by screams.

Loki's scream is followed by, "No!" Then, "Get off me!" As another scream leaves his lips, Thor rushes over to him.

"Loki." Thor shakes Loki a little. "Loki wake up." Thor shakes him a little harder.

"No!" Loki yells again as he quickly sits up almost headbutting Thor. He quickly looks around him as he breathes heavily.

Thor sits down next to Loki's legs. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine."

"You were screaming," Thor says as he moves some of Loki's hair out of his face. "You haven't had nightmares since we were little."

"I'm fine, Thor." Loki leans back on his pillows.

"Don't lie to me, Loki-"

"I don't want to talk about it!" Loki yells in annoyance making his skin turn dark blue and ice form around him on the bed. Thor stands up from the bed before the ice can touch him. But it disappears within seconds, "Sorry." Loki says as he cascades his glance away from Thor.

"It's whatever," Thor shrugs and calls Mjolnir to his hand, "I'll leave you alone." He walks across Loki's room and to the door. "If you need anything my door is open."

Loki stays quiet, even after Thor leaves his room. He doesn't want to worry Thor or anyone else any more than he has to. He can surely heal himself from what Thanos did to him.

A mind takes longer to heal than anything else. Loki's bones are all healed but what Thanos did to his mind it could take a while. Especially since he still has false memories constantly playing through his head.

. . .

Thor closes his bedroom door and throws Mjolnir across the room. However, without Thor calling Mjolnir back it crashes through the window. Thor then huffs in annoyance and calls Mjolnir back. When the handle touches his hand he immediately drops it.

Thor walks through his room, removing bits of his armor as he goes. When he gets to his bed he finds a pair of his lounge pants balled up on the floor. He puts the pants on then lays down in his bed.

He tosses and turns for a while. Frustrated that Loki wouldn't talk to him. But also frustrated at how he handled the situation. He wants to help Loki. Thor is familiar with Loki's screams, he's heard them enough the past couple months to know that Loki is still being tortured somehow.

"Gods dammit!" Thor hollers making it thunder and lightning outside.

. . .

Loki jumps a little from the sound of the thunder outside of his window.

'Have I made him that mad?' Loki thinks to himself as he sits up. Unknowing to what that thought would bring.

He feels a shock in his head and grabs it in pain as memories play out in his mind.

He remembers when Thor was first learning how his powers work. How Thor would snap his fingers and sparks would shine around them. Then, he remembers Thor hitting him with small bolts of lightning on purpose. Thor and his friends would watch and laugh as Loki would cower in fear and pain. Finally, was the first time Thor used his thunder and lightning in battle. He would hit Mjolnir on the ground and lightning would come down from the skies and barbecue a whole line of enemies.

When Loki finally opens his eyes again he is staring up as his ceiling. He sees a flash of light from more lightning striking down.

As he sits back up, Loki thinks about going to Thor's room. 'Maybe talking to him will make the lightning stop.' Loki gets up from his bed and starts walking towards his door. He only allows that one thought to sit in his mind.

'I'm just going to talk to him.' Is on repeat in his head as he crosses the hall. He doesn't want to think about how he's running to Thor just in case he has another nightmare like he used to do when they were kids. He knows that that thought would just stir up more memories that he'll have to sift through.

*Knock* *Knock* Sounds through Thor's room. He sits up in his bed and says; "Come in."

The door opens and there Loki stands. Unlike Thor he has not changed and still has smudges of dirt on his face from the battle earlier. He just silently walks to Thor's bedside.

"Can I sit?" Loki asks to which Thor just nods to. He sits down right in front of Thor and says; "You may ask one question, that is all."

The thunder and lightning stop as Thor's eyes widen in disbelief. Thor opens his mouth to ask his question but stops himself. He doesn't want to push Loki to tell him more than he wants. So he plainly asks; "Why haven't you changed?"

Loki just stares at him flabbergasted that this was the question Thor decided to ask him. Nonetheless Loki snaps his fingers and his clothes change into his black pajamas. "Happy?"

"That wasn't an answer." Thor says with a straight face. "I want to know why you haven't used you powers until now."

"That wasn't your original question-"

"It's an add on." Thor smirks.

"Fine," Loki huffs, "I haven't used them because I've been too drained. Someone having control over your mind is exhausting, especially when you're fighting with everything you have to get them out." Loki trails off as he sees Thor giving him a concerned look. "What?"

"Nothing, that was just more than I was expecting to get out of you." Thor says with a light chuckle.

Loki chuckles a little back at him, not wanting to admit that he didn't mean to tell him all that. Loki then peaks over at the window and sees the clear night sky.

"Well," Loki moves to get up from the bed, "since I've answered your question, I'm going to go back to my room." Loki stands up from the bed slowly with a halfway smile on his face.

Thor knows that look. "You don't have to leave."

"What?"

"I mean, if you're worried about having another nightmare, you are welcome to sleep here." Thor pats the bed beside him.

Loki just stands there blinking for a second. He wasn't truly expecting an invitation to stay.

"Come on, brother, it's not different from when we were kids." Thor reassures him.

'Yes it is!' Basically screeches throughout Loki's mind. So he says; "Alright." Which leaves himself shocked. That was not what he wanted to come out of his mouth, or was it? He didn't know at that point. Loki just walks around to the other side of the queen sized bed, lifts the blanket, and climbs in.

Loki situates himself and turns his back towards Thor.

Thor, however, lays the same way that he did when they were kids. He lays a couple of inches away from Loki with his left arm draped over Loki's side outside of the covers.

Loki takes a deep breath in and slowly lets it out as he closes his eyes.
