~A/N~
I am speeding up the timeframe and changing some of the events from the movies within this chapter. This chapter is influenced by the beginning sections of Age of Ultron.
However, please note that this takes place only a few days after the attack on New York not a few years like the movie is set. The Scepter was never taken from Tony, he and Banner have already started working on the Ultron program. Please feel free to ask any questions about the changes to the timeline that you may have, I will answer them.
Enjoy the chapter.

"We are here to help." Thor is startled awake by a mechanical voice, to which he calls Mjolnir to his hand and stands ready to fight. "We are here to help."

Thor blinks a few times before recognizing the silhouette in front of him. "Stark?"

The body of armor in front of Thor goes still, then the eyes of the mask turn blue as a voice sounds from it. "Point Break?" Stark's voice. "When did you come back to Earth?"

"Stark, I need your help." Thor jumps right over the pleasantries and straight into the matter at hand.

At the sound of Thor's desperate plea Stark asks, "What is it?" Only for the concern and wariness to cease after Thor motions to the seemingly lifeless body on the ground. Stark stays silent. The deaths and devastation that Loki had caused in New York are still fresh on his mind, even his work with Banner and their hopes for a better future can't keep him from thinking about it.

"Stark, please." Thor pleads, stepping closer to the body of armor. "I know you hesitate because of what happened in your city, but I can explain all of that." He peers down a Loki for a second then back up at the metal mask, "Please Stark."

Against Tony's better judgement he agrees to help Thor. He has the suit grab Loki's blue body and fly to the Avengers tower, allowing Thor to follow it as it flies.

. . .

Instead of the Iron Fleet bot entering through the glass window-like door at the center of the A on the side of the tower it lands on the landing pad that was made for the Quinjet. By the time its metal feet touch the landing pad a gurney is there waiting for Loki's blue body. Standing next to the gurney is Dr. Cho, parallel to her stands Tony and Bruce both with their arms crossed.

As the bot pulls its chilled metal arms off of Loki, Thor lands on the pad. He can feel the eyes of everyone else on the platform but he just watches Loki as he is slowly wheeled away by Dr. Cho. Tony looks over the bot, noticing its frost covered arms, before it flies off the side of the platform and down the building to the center of the A.

Tony turns his gaze back to Thor and says; "Okay two things: One, why is your brother blue? And two, why is he back on Earth?"

"Did you intentionally bring him back here?" Bruce chimes in.

Thor's eye slowly go over to look at the two men standing in front of him. "He is unconscious and immobile and those are your questions?" Thor asks in a huff, just for them to continue to stare at him, "We fell through a black hole and he's blue because of his heritage." he quickly states, making Bruce and Tony glance at each other with confusion, "Now, can either of you help him?"

"Why should we help him?" Tony basically roars, "He's responsible for the deaths of hundreds of peo-"

"Loki is not at fault for those deaths!" Thor cuts Tony off, making Tony quiet.

"What do you mean?" Bruce asks taking a small step forward.

"The scepter," Thor starts, making both Tony and Bruce stiffen a little, "inside of it is something way more powerful than we imagined, it is the only thing that can explain any of it."

"Are you saying that the scepter was used on Loki?" Bruce asks, "Someone else used the scepter on him and then gave it to him?" He ponders for a second, "Is that why he attacked New York?"

Thor thinks about how to word the information he is about to give, but before he can answer Tony says; "If the scepter was used on him then he should've snapped out of the mind control when Hulk beat the shit out of him, just like Barton snapped out of it after Nat hit him really hard."

"It is not as simple as it was with Barton." Thor finally states, "My mother said that someone has altered Loki's memories, not just taken over his mind for a time." His eyes fall to the ground as he continues, "She was working on correcting them before she died."

Banner's eyes go a little wide at what Thor just shared. "Thor, I'm so sorry."

Thor clears his throat, not wanting to seem weak in front of them, "All is well, she is in Valhalla with the Gods now." He softly smiles.

It is silent for a moment, but it is broken by Tony saying, "If what's happening with Loki is due to his altered memories, we can't help him by changing them back." Thor's smile disappears, "But we can hook him up to an EEG to ensure he's okay." The smile starts to come back to Thor's lips, "Regardless, we need to assemble everyone and explain the situation, otherwise, Barton might try to murder him." Then it fades again.

Tony starts walking towards the elevator as Bruce says, "He's joking."

"Believe me," Tony presses the button for the elevator as he turns back towards the others, "I'm not." He cracks a smile as the elevator doors open. "Jarvis, tell everyone to meet us in the meeting room."

"Right away, sir." Jarvis responds as Thor and Bruce make their way to the elevator.
